Duterte pinaboran ang paggamit ng Dengvaxia

PINABORAN ni Pangulong Duterte ang paggamit ng Dengvaxia vaccine matapos naman ang pagdedeklara ng national dengue epidemic sa bansa.

“Ako, I’d rather go on the side of science. If nobody would believe me, still I would say that if there is anything there in the western medicine and even itong herbal ng mga oriental… if it would man saving people’s lives, I’ll go for it,” sabi ni Duterte sa kanyang talumpati sa Malacanang.

Nauna nang inihayag ni Health Secretary Francisco Duque III ang pagdedeklara ng national dengue epidemic sa harap naman ng patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng mga nagkakasakit ng dengue.

‘Nakikita ko may epidemic eh, so yung gusto magpabuka. Kasi yung anak ko, dumaan ng vaccine eh. She had a vaccination,” ayon pa kay Duterte.

Nauna nang isinulong ng grupo ng mga doktor na payagan na ang paggamit ng Dengvaxia vaccine sa bansa.

“I am open to the use of Dengvaxia again. Maraming patay na, it’s an epidemic.  Now compare it vis-à-vis with those who died, I want to hear the words of the experts, doctors. And we have enough bright people here to tell us.  I do not need foreigners to tell me, my own Filipino scientists and doctors would tell me what to do.  I will be guided by their announcements,” sabi pa ni Duterte.
