5 lady centenarians tumanggap ng P50k mula sa Albay LGU, may P100k pa sa gobyerno

KASABAY ng pagdiriwang ng National Women’s Month, limang babae ang nabigyan ng tig-P50,000 mula sa provincial government ng Albay.
‘Yan ay dahil naabot na nila ang kanilang “centennial years” o edad 100.
Sa serye ng Facebook posts ni Albay Governor Greco “Grex” Lagman, personal niyang iniabot sa limang centenarian ang award cash kasama ang ilang representative mula sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Caption niya sa unang FB post, “We awarded to the three lady centenarians 50k pesos gift each from the Provincial Government of Albay (PGA) as well as Certificates of Recognition sa to these beautiful CENTENARIANS OF DARAGA AND LEGAZPI.”
Masaya ring ibinandera ni Governor Lagman ang dalawa pang centenarian mula sa bayan ng Camalig.
Ibinahagi pa niya ang naging sikreto raw ng mga ito upang maabot ang 100 years old.
“Well, out of curiosity I asked them what was their secret in reaching 100 years of existence., saad niya sa FB.
Patuloy niya, “They said always pray and eat everything in moderation, be happy, and don’t worry too much.”
Bukod sa tig-P50,000 ay makakatanggap din ng P100,000 mula sa national government, batay na rin sa “Centenarians Act of 2016” or Republic Act 10868.
Ayon sa nabanggit na batas, “centenarians residing in the country or abroad, are entitled to receive a P 100,000 ‘centenarian gift,’ among other incentives provided by concerned local government units, as well as a Letter of Felicitation from the President.”
