KUNG naghahanap kayo ng mala-action-packed na palabas, mapapanood na sa mga sinehan ang action thriller na “The Woman King.”

Bida sa pelikula ang Academy Award Winner na si Viola Davis.

Gagampanan ng aktres ang papel bilang si General Nanisca, isa sa mga pinuno ng militar na nagsasanay ng mga bagong recruit.

Ayon pa kay Viola, napamahal siya sa pelikula dahil dito niya nakita ang importansya ng kanyang sarili bilang isang babae, pati na rin ang kahalagahan ng kanyang lahi.

“I saw my femininity in it.

“I saw my blackness in it.

“I saw a really important part of history in it.”

“I always say any part of history is important, even the small parts and I think that it is a story that the world is hungry for,” dagdag pa niya.

Ang “The Woman King” ay tungkol sa tinatawag na “Amazons,” isang grupo ng mga babaeng militar na pumoprotekta sa kaharian ng Dahomey sa West Africa.

Hindi basta-basta ang pelikula dahil base ito sa true events noong 18th at 19th century.
