Binay nirerespeto ang pagkalas ng One Cebu sa UNA

SINABI ni Vice President Jejomar Binay na nirerespeto niya ang desisyon ng One Cebu party sa pamumuno ng tumatakbo sa pagkagubernador na si Winston Garcia, na kumalas sa pagkikipag-alyansa sa United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
“We respect their decision. But let me just assure you, people of Cebu, of the promises and commitments I made if I become president,” sabi ni Binay.

Iginiit ni Binay na tutuparin niya ang kanyang pangako na magtatayo ng Malacañang sa Cebu.

“Let’s just put it this way. There are losses, and there are gains,” dagdag ni Binay.
Ito’y matapos ihayag ni Garcia na kumalas na ang One Cebu sa pakikipag-alyansa sa UNA dahil umano sa pagkaka-etsapuwera sa partido sa ginawang kampanya sa Cebu.

“One Cebu entered into an alliance with UNA in the belief that it will be a partnership of equals. UNA treated One Cebu like Imperial Manila treats the rest of the Philippines (with disrespect),” Garcia said.

Idinagdag ni Garcia na hindi man lamang inimbitahan ang One Cebu sa ginawang rali ng UNA kagabi sa Lapu-Lapu City.

Sinabi pa ni Garcia na hindi rin sila sinabihan sa ginawang kampanya ni BInay sa Cebu noong Huwebes, partikular sa Carcar City, Dalaguete, Argao, at Talisay City.

“Right from the outset, UNA regarded the alliance as nothing more than a marriage of convenience,” sabi ni Garcia.

Itinanggi naman ni Binay na nakipagsigawan siya kay Garcia sa telepono noong Biyernes.

Niliwanag naman niya na nananatili pa ring miyembro ng UNA ang anak ni Garcia na si Cebu Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia.

Ayon pa kay Binay, malapit din niyang kaibigan si Cebu City Mayor Mike Rama.
