NAGBITIW na si Shamcey Supsup-Lee sa Team Kaya This na kumakandidatong konsehal sa Distrito 1 ng Pasig City sa darating na May 12, 2025 elections.

Ipinost ni Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up na isa ring arkitekto ang kanyang official statement kaninang hatinggabi, 12:40 a.m.. Narito ang buong pahayag ng beauty queen.

“Resignation of Architect Shamcey Supsup-Lee.

“After careful thought and reflection, I have respectfully decided to resign from KAYA THIS.

“When I joined the team, it was with sincere hope that we could work together for meaningful change. But recent events have made it clear that my values, especially those shaped by my experience as a woman, a mother, and a leader, no longer align with the direction the team is taking.

“This decision is not made lightly, but with full respect for my fellow aspirants, for the Miss Universe Philippines Organization whose mission I carry, and for the many women and girls who look to me for strength and clarity.

“I choose to stand firmly by the values I’ve upheld throughout my life: dignity, respect, accountability, and women empowerment.

“At this point, I believe the best way to stay true to these principles is to take a step back, reflect, and listen, to allow space for clarity before taking the next steps.

Matatandaang isa kami sa naunang nagsulat dito sa BANDERA nitong Abril 5 na hindi nagustuhan ni Shamcey ang biro ni Atty. Christian “Ian” Sia sa single mothers o solo mom sa nakaraang campaign rally nila.

Ipinost ng dating beauty queen sa kanyang Facebook account na kinausap niya ang kapartido niyang si Sia na kumakandidato bilang kongresman sa nasabing lungsod na hindi nito sinasang-ayunan ang biro tungkol sa mga single moms.

Aniya, “As a woman and a mother, I do not tolerate statements—whether made in jest or in earnest—that diminish or disrespect women.

“I’ve spoken to Atty. lan and shared my thoughts with him directly. I believe we all have moments to learn from, and I hope this becomes one of them,” ani Shamcey.

At ang dahilan kung bakit sa Team Kaya This siya sumali, “I joined this team because of our shared commitment to serve Pasiguenos especially in areas like legal aid, senior support, access to quality healthcare and help for solo parents. These are efforts I continue to support and build on.”

At ang lagi niyang sinasabi, “You can trust that I will always stand for what is right, even when it’s not easy. Because that’s the kind of leadership I believe the Pasig deserves.”

Marahil ay hindi nakatulog si Shamcey sa mga nabasa niyang bashing sa kanya kaya nagdesisyong kumalas na sa Partido ni Sarah Discaya.
