SA botong 14-0, idineklara kahapon ng Korte Suprema na unconstitutional ang Priority Development Assistance Fund o pork barrel.
Dahil dito, pinawalang-bisa ng korte na “all legal provisions of past and present Congressional Pork Barrel laws, such as the previous PDAF and Countrywide Development Fund (CDF) articles and the various Congressional Insertions, which authorize/d legislators-whether individually or collectively organized into committees—to intervene, assume or participate in any of the various post-enactment stages of the budget execution.”
Bukod dito, idineklara rin ng korte bilang unconstitutional ang mga batas na nagbibigay kapangyarihan sa pangulo na gamitin ang Malampaya fund para sa ibang kapakanan maliban sa mga proyektong may kinalaman sa enerhiya.
Samantala, wala na umanong balak ang Kamara at maging ang Senado na iapela pa ang naging resolusyon ng Korte laban sa pork barrel.
