Bungad ni Jude, “Earlier today, I sat down to quietly settle the matter with the restaurant management, one crew and the store supervisor who were present last night.

“The waiter I had a disagreement with was not present. After each one of us aired our sides, I am happy to share that we have agreed to pursue together more inclusive practices in the restaurant.

“I also realized that in the impassioned pursuit of my advocacy, I could have done with a little measure of kindness, sadly quite absent in the ruckus this has all unnecessarily created when it was made public without our knowledge.

“I made a personal apology to the group present, and requested if I may do so for the concerned waiter. I am also making it very public with this post, as it has become quite public fodder.

“I also want to underscore that the management always had the back of their personnel with constant communication with me on behalf of their employees, who are all treated as family, as I know personally from their history,” ang pahayag ni Jude.

“To quote the supervisor, they served me as best they could even if it was most difficult for them to do so. I would like also to reiterate that I did not demand that the waiter stand for the whole length of time, as I was explaining my side of the gender sensitivity issue, it was he who chose to stand in front of me as we waited for input from management, who I attempted to contact,” saad ni Jude.

“My apologies also to the rest of the staff who are disheartened by the way things have escalated, as well as to the customers present at that time. This is a huge chunk of humble pie that I must ingest, because I have erred.

“May we start here with, as the supervisor pointed out, an uphill path to reconciliation and we hope you will be able to allow us and yourselves to do so unhampered so we may all learn and heal from this.”

Mula sa Bisaya Bitter Quotes, “It was he who chose to stand in front of me…” NOBODY WOULD CHOOSE TO STAND FOR 2 HOURS!  Humble yourself gyud kay life has its way of humbling us!”

Say naman ni Si Dot Ni, “You’re still blaming the server in this case…kung wala pa gipost to nga incident, basin magpadayun ka ana nga attitude…you can do better. Sa bata pa ko, kabati najud ko ana imong name, so disappointing nga ingani diay imong personality public figure man ka, so hopefully mahimo kang good example of kindness …sa kadto nga situation, murag kulang jud ka sa chill.”

Ani JB Bolanos, “You know what instigated the ire of the netizens? Your side comments like hampaslupa etc. This statement of yours, as nicely written as it is, does not sound sincere, at all. You are posting just to clear your damaged reputation and not genuinely say sorry for your actions.

“You did not demand the waiter to stand? You could have asked him to take a seat, yet you just watched him continue standing. Sin of omission. And I guess you did this perhaps to feed your overflowing ego. I don’t think you learned your lesson since you are just mighty proud and think of yourself highly.”

Opinyon ni Lester Jhon, “Wow, how noble of you to grace us with your profound wisdom once again. I cannot with your condescension. Sitting down with the restaurant management to quietly settle the matter, only to turn around and broadcast it on social media. Apologizing publicly, because why miss another opportunity to be the center of attention, right?”

“And now, you’re eating that huge chunk of ‘humble’ pie. Must be delicious, esp when you’re serving it with a side of public attention. Riding the wave, huh. Must be nice.”

I was there to understand you, but this?!  ” I did not demand that the waiter stand for the whole length of time, as I was explaining my side of the gender sensitivity issue, it was he who chose to stand in front of me as we waited for input from management, who I attempted to contact ”

Aniya, “Apparently, you have mistreated other people, too- security guards, school staff where you were invited as a guest speaker, tech people at events, other hosts, etc. If all these people came forward, how would you apologize to them? Get off that high horse and humble yourself down. The most honest and sincere apology is a changed attitude.”
