Nag-share ang celebrity mom ng picture nila ng anak na si Elias Modesto Cruz kasama ang kanyang husband na si Derek Ramsay.
Kuha ang naturang litrato sa moving-up ceremony ni Elias, ang anak ni Ellen sa dating karelasyong aktor na si John Lloyd Cruz.

Umani naman ng mga positibo at nakatutuwang reaksyon mula sa mga netizens ang hirit ni Ellen at karamihan ay nagsabing mukha naman silang masaya at excited sa achievement ni Elias sa school.
Ngunit isang Instagram user nga ang biglang nambasag sa post ni Ellen na naghahanap kay “JL”, ang initials ng tatay ni Elias na si John Lloyd. Komento nito, “JL should be present.”
Nang mabasa ito ni Ellen ay agad niyang binoldyak ang nag-comment na tinawag niyang “Manang” at sinabihan na huwag masyadong makitid ang utak.

Sa isa niyang Instagram Q&A session, nabanggit din niya na hindi pumapalya si John Lloyd sa financial obligations nito sa kanilang anak.
“Okay, I’m going to answer this because I get this a lot. Yes, he does.
“When he asked me, how much does Elias need, I gave him a breakdown of his basic needs, just his basic needs, and that’s 10,000 pesos max. But he insisted on doubling it.
“I know he’s more than capable of giving more than that, but I told him I cannot accept anything more than PHP20,000, and that’s it.
“I also have, because we are co-parenting, I have my obligations and responsibilities for Elias, so it’s just fair.
“So, there. Anything more than PHP20,000 for me is just not right, morally not right, because he’s not schooling yet. He hasn’t started school, so that’s just basic needs,” sabi pa ni Ellen.
