SA 10 taon pamamayagpag ng Kapamilya star na si Darren Espanto sa entertainment industry, feeling lucky and thankful siya sa lahat ng na-achive niya as an artist.
Mula nang itanghal siyang first runner-up sa unang season ng “The Voice Kids Philippines” noong 2014, mula sa team ni Sarah Geronimo, napakarami na ngang napatunayan ni Darren.
“I feel like it’s been such a long time since The Voice Kids, but at the same time, it’s been such a quick journey as well.

“There’s so many things that I’ve already achieved in terms of my personal goal in my career in the past 10 years,” sey pa ni Darren.
Nagpapasalamat ang actor-singer sa lahat ng mga showbiz at music icons na nakasama at nakatrabaho niya for the past 10 years, “I’m grateful kasi not everyone has the opportunity to be mentored by all of these icons in the industry.”
Unang-una na nga riyan ay ang kanyang Coach Sarah sa “The Voice Kids” na simula pa lang ay talagang tumutok sa kanyang career. Isa ang Popstar Royalty sa special guests sa kanyang concert.

“She always told me to sing from the heart. When I learned to sing from the heart when I got older, it really made such a big difference in my performances.
“It can be a simple song with such a simple message pero as long as galing sa puso yung pagkanta mo, sabi niya, tatagos iyon sa mga tao,” aniya.
Nabanggit din niya ang kapwa Kapamilya singer na si Erik Santos, “Si Kuya Erik sabi niya, ‘Mag-release ka lang nang mag-release ng mga kanta kasi that’s what we’re here for.
“It’s something that you also dreamed of doing and now that you have the opportunity, ngayon ka pa ba yung alam mong babawasan yung mga ginagawa mong mga kanta?’” kuwento pa ni Darren patungkol kay Erik na isa rin sa magiging special guest performer sa “D10” concert.

Siyempre, nandiyan din ang Asia’s Songbird na si Regine Velasquez na nagpayo sa kanya na walang malaki o maliit na venue para sa pagpe-perform.
“Tinuro sa akin ni Mama Regs na to just keep on singing. Minsan kasi tinatanong niya bakit hindi ka mag-concert? Bakit hindi ka mag-show?’
“Sabi ko, ‘Mama Regs parang nakaka-pressure naman po kung lagi akong mag-concert.’ Sabi niya, ‘Hindi. Na-pressure ka ba kasi gusto mo mapuno yung mga venue? Kailangan ba malaki lagi? That’s also a way (kasi) to market yourself,’” sey pa ni Darren.
Marami rin daw siyang natutunan kina Martin Nievera at Gary Valenciano para tumagal sa entertainment industry.
“My Mom and I would be able to talk with Tito Martin, there are times na we open up na parang ‘I don’t know how long I am gonna be able to last in this industry. I wonder where this will take me.’
“(Sabi ni Martin kay Darren) ‘No. Just keep on doing what you do, as long as it’s your passion at the end of the day, and you follow what your parents say, which is to always stay humble, malayo ang mararating mo’. Parang isa po iyon sa mga tumatak sa akin,” pag-alala ni Darren.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Ang dami ko ring nang natutunan kay Tito Gary in terms of music and personal life. He also taught me so much in terms of music production.”
“I’ve got to see him in his elements talaga. Sobra siyang hands on sa lahat ng ginagawa niya. In terms of music production, grabe siya magproduce ng sarili niya. Nakaka-inspire! Sobrang hands down!” sey pa ni Darren.
