Joel, Shamaine, Carlos, Direk Sigrid wagi sa 1st CinePanalo Film Festival

Carlos Siguion Reyna, Nonie Buencamino, Sigrid Bernardo, Mae Cruz at Jeff Moses

WAGING best actress si Shamaine Centenera-Buencamino sa naganap na 1st Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival Awards Night nitong nagdaang Sabado, March 16.

Ginanap ang awarding ceremony sa Cinema 5 ng Gateway Mall, Cubao sa Quezon City.

Nanalo si Shamaine para sa pak na pak niyang performance sa pelikulang “Pushcart Tales”. Tinalo niya sina Therese Malvar (Pushcart Tales), Elora Españo (Pushcart Tales), at ang Aeta na si Uzziel Delamide (A Lab Story).

Nag-tie naman sa pagka-Best Actor sina Direk Carlos Siguion-Reyna para pa rin sa “Pushcart Tales” at ang Sparkle artist na si Jeff Moses for his first movie “Under A Piaya Moon”.

Natalo ang iba pang nominadong Best Actor na sina Noel Comia Jr. (Boys at the Back), Harvey Bautista (Pushcart Tales), Potchi Angeles (A Lab Story), VJ Mendoza (Road to Happy), at Nonie Buencamino (Pushcart Tales).


Winner bilang Best Supporting Actor si Joel Torre para sa Negrense film na “Under A Piaya Moon” ngunit wala ang veteran actor sa ginanap na awards night kaya ang assistant director ng nasabing pelikula na si Charles Hilado ang tumanggap ng tropeo.

Ang iba pang nominadong Best Supporting Actor ay sina Smokey Manaloto (Road to Happy), Raynier Brizuela (Boys at the Back), Tommy Alejandrino (One Day League: Dead Mother, Dead All), at Giovanni Baldisseri (Boys at the Back).

Naiuwi naman ni Nicole Omillo ang Best Supporting Actress award para sa “Boys at the Back” kung saan tinalbugan niya sina Donna Cariaga (A Lab Story), Pau Dimaranan (Under A Piaya Moon), at Chart Motus (Under A Piaya Moon).

Napunta naman ang Best Ensemble sa “Pushcart Tales” kung saan tatlo ang nominadong Best Actor (napunta kay Carlos Siguion Reyna) at tatlo rin ang nominadong Best Actress (naiuwi ni Shamaine Buencamino).

Best Picture ang “Under A Piaya Moon” na siya ring naging choice ng MTRCB  para sa special award na Responsableng Paglikha Award, at ng Mowelfund Film Institute para sa Special Citation.

Itinanghal na Best Director si Sigrid Andrea Bernardo para sa “Pushcart Tales”.

Todo naman ang pasasalamat ng festival director na si Direk Chris Cahilig at ni Ms. Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Senior Manager for Marketing ng Puregold Price Club dahil sa tagumpay ng 1st CinePanalo filmfest.

Nagsimula ang festival noong March 15 sa Gateway Cineplex sa Cubao, Quezon City at magtatagal sa mga sinehan hanggang bukas, March 19.
