6 na pelikula, 25 short film maglalaban-laban sa CinePanalo Film Festival

Ang mga filmmaker na nakapasok sa CinePanalo Film Festival

EXCITING ang magaganap na CinePanalo Film Festival this year kung saan maglalaban-laban ang anim na full-length movies at 25 short film.

Ang filmfest na ito na may temang “Kuwentong Panalo” ay isa sa mga magiging highlight ng 2024 sa mundo ng movie industry na naglalayong i-level pa ang kalidad ng mga Pinoy movies.

Pormal na ipinakilala ang mga tatanggap ng inaasam na film grant sa naganap na Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival mediacon kamakailan sa Artson Events Place, Quezon City.

Present sa event ang mga kinatawan mula sa Puregold, ang mga direktor at producer ng official entries pati na ang members ng selection committee.

Ito’y binubuo ng veteran film and TV director na si Jeffrey Jethurian; award-winning filmmaker Victor Villanueva; Puregold senior marketing manager Ivy Hayagan-Piedad; Lyle Gonzales ng Republic Creative; at festival director ng Puregold CinePanalo na si Chris Cahilig.

Mula sa daan-daang entries, 31 entry  ang napili bilang mga finalist. Pormal silang ipinakilala kung saan minarkahan din ang simula ng huling yugto ng Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival.

Kabilang sa six full-length film finalists ang newcomer na si Kurt Soberano, sa kanyang entry na “Under the Piaya Moon,” at si Eugene Torres sa kanyang “One Day League: Dead Mother, Dead All”. Sila ang nakakuha ng “Producer’s Choice” title, kaya naging anim ang slots.

Makakatunggali nila ang mga kilalang direktor na sina Sigrid Bernardo para sa “Pushcart Tales,” Raynier Brizuela para sa “Boys at the Back,” Joel Ferrer para sa “Road to Happy,” at Carlo Obispo para sa “A Lab Story”.

Ang anim na full-length film director ay nakatanggap ng substantial grant na P2.5 million bawat isa, habang 25 short film student director ang nabigyan ng P100,000 bawat isa.

Bukod dito, lahat ng mga finalist ay nakatanggap din ng complimentary color grading mula sa Optima Digital, gayundin ang mga essential groceries mula sa Puregold para mas suportahan ang mga ito habang nasa produksyon.

Ang finished Puregold CinePanalo full-length and short films ay mapapanood sa Gateway Cinemas sa Cubao,QC, mula Marso 15 hanggang 17, 2024, na susundan ng potential regional screenings. Magiging available din ang mga short film sa opisyal na social media channels ng Puregold sa YouTube at TikTok.
