Frankie Pangilinan may pa-tribute song kay Sharon Cuneta: I can’t believe you’re my best friend!
ISANG tribute ang inialay ni Frankie Pangilinan sa kanyang ina na si Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Sa kanyang Instagram post ay ibinahagi ng dalaga ang isang kanta na alay niya para sa ina bilang pagbibigay pugay sa mga naging kontribusyon nito sa industriya.
“I grew up watching mom through the window-slices of recording studios. She’d bring me to work and I’d stand on barstools or vinyl couches just to catch a glimpse of her going through lyric pages in cold, shadowy vocal booths, and at the age of twenty-two, for the very first time, I took my mommy to work with me,” pagbabahagi ni Frankie.
Aniya, sa kabila ng ilang taon nito sa industriya, hindi pa raw ito nagmamay-ari ng sariling record kaya naman naisipan niyang gumawa ng kanta para sa Megastar.
“Despite a career that’s spanned decades and affected generations beyond her own, she’d never owned a record of hers until I wrote this song at three in the morning when @ferntan_ sent me its bare bones. This is my gift to her,” lahad ni Frankie.
Ang naturang kanta na alay niya para sa ina ay nagsimula sa “Maybe the DJ’s gone…” na siyang nagmula sa kanta nilang “Mr. DJ” na isinulat ni Rey Valera.

Kuwento pa ni Frankie, “[It] is obviously referential to Rey Valera and his song about a love so deep it transcends all manners of space, connecting people through the buzz of flimsy radio waves. Now that forty-five years have passed, the challenge was to write something about the same love only older, aged. could it transcend time as well
“If you listen closely, you can hear @mielpangilinan and I singing with mommy in the distant background. We’re there as markers of the present.”
Sa huli ay nagbigay naman ng mensahe si Frankie para kay Sharon.
“You have earned your rest, mama ko. Thank you for loving my friends without condition and thank you for singing my best effort at writing in your voice.
“I can’t believe you’re my best friend!! and you’re so bery gorjus malagu in dish bidiyo!” sey ni Frankie.
Dagdag pa niya, “Lambing Ng Megastar MV // Megastar Interlude feat. Sharon Cuneta OUT NOW.”
Umani naman ng samu’t saring komento mula sa netizens ang sweet gesture ni Frankie sa ina.
“Well done! Ganda the song, the video and the respect to the Megastar. Malambing is synonymous to her persona, too,” saad ng isang netizen.
“Awesome Kakie…sharon’s children are intelligent…ganda magsulat…” comment naman ng isa.
“Congratulations Kakie. Love from me
to you. Your Mom is blessed to have you,” sey ni Jackielou Blanco.
