LTO nag-isyu na ng ‘show cause order’ sa may-ari ng sasakyan na sangkot sa road rage sa Cavite

NAGLABAS na ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) ng Show Cause Order (SCO) laban sa may-ari ng sasakyan na nasangkot sa road rage incident sa isang subdivision sa Imus, Cavite.
Ito’y kaugnay na rin ng kautusan ni LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor Mendoza II kay LTO Regional Office 4A na magsagawa agad ng kaukulang imbestigasyon hinggil sa nag-viral na insidente.
Sangkot dito ang lalaking driver na siyang nagmamaneho ng puting Honda CRV na may license plate na REN123, na makikita sa viral video na nagwala at nanigaw umano sa mga nakaengkuwentrong motorista.
Nabatid sa inisyal na imbestigasyon ng LTO na hindi ang driver ang may-ari ng involved na sasakyan kundi isang babae, base na rin sa nakarehistro sa ahensiya.
Sa inilabas na SCO na may pirma ni LTO Regional Director Cupido Gerry Asuncion nitong nagdaang September 25, pinagpapaliwanag ang registered owner sa pamamagitan ng notarized affidavit kung bakit hindi siya kailangang parusahan kaugnay ng insidente.

“You are directed to submit your response under oath within five days from the receipt hereof why no disciplinary action should be taken against you,” ang nakasaad sa SCO.
Ang isasampang violation sa driver ng naturang sasakyan ay Reckless Driving under Section 48, Article V of the Republic Act 4136, o ang Land Transportation and Traffic Code.
Sa kumalat na video sa social media, hinihinalang nakainom umano ang driver at isa nga ito sa iimbestigahan ng mga otoridad.
“In the video, the Honda CRV was seen swerving on a public road in an apparent bid to block the vehicle from behind to pass.
“Later, the driver of the Honda CRV stopped the vehicle and confronted the driver of the vehicle behind him. The driver of the Honda CRV was also heard in the viral video cursing at the occupants of another vehicle.
“During the investigation following an order from Mendoza, it was found out that the driver of the Honda CRV is not the owner as the vehicle is registered to a woman from Rizal.
“Part of the investigation, according to Mendoza, is to identify the driver and to know if he has a valid driver’s license,” ang nakasaad sa statement ng LTO na naka-post sa kanilang Facebook account.
“Gusto nating malaman kung ang sasakyan ba ay nabenta na o pinahiram. Sa pamamagitan nito, malalaman natin ang identity ng taong ito,” pahayag ni Mendoza.
“Mabilis ang aksyon natin dito sa pamamagitan ng ating LTO-Region IV A sa pamumuno ni RD Asuncion. Makakatiyak ang ating mga kababayan ng agarang aksyon ng LTO tungkol dito,” aniya pa.
