Robi Domingo game bumalik sa akting, gustong sumabak sa sitcom: ‘Favorite ko yung mga Palibhasa Lalake at Okidokidok’

KUNG mabibigyan muli ng chance, nais ipagpatuloy ng Kapamilya TV host na si Robi Domingo ang kanyang naunsiyaming acting career.
Gusto raw ni Robi na maranasan ang maging bahagi ng isang comedy show o sitcom dahil talaga namang pwedeng-pwede niyang magamit dito ang kanyang kakulitan at pagiging natural comedian.
Sa muling pagpirma ng kontrata ng binata sa ABS-CBN, nabanggit niya na excited na siya sa mga bagong projects na gagawin niya sa mga susunod na buwan at taon.
“In the future, I got to discuss it with my fiancée, and I want to host a game show na about knowledge naman. I think it’s high time for us, the Philippines, to bring back the golden age of game shows kung saan people would be rewarded because they know stuff.

“Parang there was a time na puro teleserye at yun yung kailangan during that time. Pero ngayon, we need thinking Filipinos. And to do that, we need to bring back game shows. And I want to be one of the people who would want to mount that, too,” pahayag ng TV host sa report ng Push.
Aniya pa, “I’m really grateful sa Knowledge Channel and of course to all the bosses there headed by Ms. Rina Lopez. I’ve been with Mathdali since 2017-2018 but I’ve been a Knowledge Channel baby ever since Mathinik, Sinsekwela, Epol Apol, Hiraya Manawari, you name it, pinagdaanan ko yan.
“Kaya nga ang sarap balik-balikan yung mga pagkakataon na yun and hopefully gawin ulit para sa mga future kapamilyas natin.

“Because it’s a good foundation to have, especially with viewing habits of the kids right now. Kailangan natin ng values. Hindi puro tumbling beshy tayo,” sey pa niya.
Nang lumabas siya sa Bahay ni Kuya (Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus) noong 2008, sumabak agad siya sa akting ngunit nang magsimula siya sa pagho-host ay naisantabi na niya ito.
“There were snippets of, I don’t know if you can call it regret siguro, sana umarte ako ng ganito, sana marunong ako gumanyan, sana nagkaroon ako ng oras pagdating sa pag-aartista.
“Kasi during those times, nagkasabay lang, after PBB I signed with Star Magic and then magkasabay yung school. And I was geared towards finishing my pre-med and then after that diretso na sa medical degree.

“But the only thing was, si direk Lauren (Dyogi), sabi niya, ‘Give yoursef a year or two years.’ And during those two years pumasok na yung iba ibang programs and also nagkataon na for PBB si ate Bianca (Gonzalez) was pregnant and back then Ms. Mariel (Rodriguez) changed channels yata and si Toni (Gonzaga) ikakasal.
“So no one was there and then they were looking for someone na gusto and sabi ko, ‘Pick me! Pick me!’ Excited na excited ako. And then after that, dire-diretso na,” pagbabahagi pa ni Robi.
“So I would call it a great accident if ever na nangyari. But it’s an accident na dapat hindi ko panghinayangan,” dugtong pa niya.
Sabi pa niya, nais niyang subukan ang pagkokomedya, “But in the future I would love to also do some stints with the permission din of my fiancée, to do stuff like, not romcom, pero yung mga sitcom.
“Favorite ko yung mga Palibhasa Lalake, Okidokidok, mga ganyan. But not as the lead,” chika pa niya na feeling namin ay swak na swak sa kanya dahil talaga namang kwela at komedyante siya sa tunay na buhay.
