Gian Sotto nilinaw na walang nilabag na batas si Aiko, iba pang konsehal na nag-TikTok sa loob ng session hall
NAGLABAS ng opisyal na pahayag si Vice Mayor Gian Sotto kaugnay sa kontrobersyal na pagsasayaw at pagti-TikTok ni Aiko Melendez kasama ang iba pang konsehal ng Quezon City sa loob ng session hall.
Naging kontrobersyal kasi ang dalawang video matapos kondenahin ng mga netizens ang ginawa nilang pagsasayaw na tila background pa ang bandila ng Pilipinas habang masayang nagti-TikTok sa loob ng session hall.
Ayon kay Vice Mayor Gian, wala naman daw nilabag na internal rules ang ginawang pagsasayaw ng mga konsehal sa loob ng session hall.
Aniya, “In relation to the recent news, the Office of the Vice Mayor assures the public that no violation of the internal rules or procedures were made by the concerned councilors.”
Pagpapaliwanag ni Gian, ang mga kumakalat raw na guidelines sa online ay obsolete na o hindi na ginagamit.
“The guidelines that are circulating online are already obsolete (note that it still mentions the term “beepers’) and does not provide for restrictions against creative display of talents when council is not in session,” lahad ng bise alkalde.
Giit pa niya, pinapahalagahan raw nila ang “artistic personality” ng kanilang mga konsehal.
“Further, we value the artistic personality of our councilors as they serve our Quezon City constituents as legislators with the same passion and commitment. Since our term started last July 2022, the 22nd
Quezon City,” lahad ni Gian.
Ibinandera rin ng vice mayor ang mga accomplishments ng Lungsod Quezon ngayong taon.
“Council has already passed 74 ordinances and 334 resolutions, with landmark legislations pertaining to mental health, promotion of local businesses, social services, education, and traffic management.
“Our performance shows that we have been fulfilling our mandate to the best of our abilities,” pagbabahagi ni VM Gian.
Pangako niya, “Rest assured that the 22nd Quezon City Council will continue with our goal to serve our Citizens with good governance, full transparency, and genuine public service.”
