Nag-post si Maxene sa Instagram ng kanyang litrato kalakip ang mahabang paliwanag sa kanyang tanong na, “Did you know that migraines in adulthood are a result of childhood trauma?”
Simulang pagbabahagi ng aktres tungkol dito, “Studies show that children who go through traumatic events (examples: abuse or neglect) experience biological changes that can lead to migraines later in life.

“Parents and primary caregivers usually just do what their own elders did when it comes to raising children. As a result, they unconsciously pass on their own traumas and unhealed wounds to their children.
“Can we blame them? Certainly not. They are only doing the best that they can with whatever knowledge and information they have and tbh (to be honest)—not everyone is knowledgeable about trauma and how it can negatively affect a child’s overall wellbeing,” ang bahagi ng explanation ni Maxene.

Sabi ng kapatid ni Elmo Magalona, inaatake siya noon ng migraine every month for so many years “And just dismissed it as a regular side effect of my monthly period. I dreaded it every time it would come as it would sometimes last for 3-5 days.
“It was so bad that I would just lock myself in a dark room and force myself to sleep it off—only to wake up with it again. I would try to alleviate the pain by taking some medicine for it but it just didn’t go away easily.
“I honestly thought it was nearly impossible to cure migraines and that I would just have to learn how to live with this kind of chronic pain,” pahayag pa niya.

“Especially when I started doing therapy and getting more clarity about my mental health condition, I was able to naturally heal myself from the inside out. Thankfully, there was no need for me to take medications.
“I just had to have a non-negotiable morning routine that would help me reprogram and rewire my brain through neuroplasticity.
“I did the inner work to eliminate negative energy and create healthier habits that would help me heal and renew myself,” pahayag pa ng aktres.
