82 barangay sa Quezon City meron nang isolation facilities

Umaabot sa 860 beds ang kapasidad ng mga itinayong quarantine facilities sa 82 na barangay sa Quezon City, ayon kay Mayor Joy Belmonte.

Bukod pa ito sa HOPE quarantine facilities na may kakayahang tumanggap ng 2,000 pasyente, ani Belmonte.

Ginawa ang mga pasilidad sa barangay para magsilbing isolation facility ng mga pasyenteng pinaghihinalaan at kumpirmadong may COVID-19 na sakit. Mahalaga ito para maiwasan ang lalupang pagkalat ng coronavirus.

Mismong ang  Inter-agency Task Force  for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases ay di pabor sa home quarantine dahil nagbubunga umano ito ng pagkalat ng virus sa iba pang kasama ng pasyente sa bahay.

“We want all barangays to have their own quarantine facilities so they can immediately pull out suspected patients from their households, thereby controlling the spread of infection,” ayon kay Belmonte.

Sa kasalukuyan ang District 1 ay may pasilidad na may 213 beds, District 2 ay 90 beds, District 3 ay 154 beds (sa 24 na barangay), habang ang District 4 ay may pinakamaraming bilang na maabot sa 281 beds. Ang District 5 ay may 78 at ang District 6 ay may 44 beds.

“Tataas pa ang bilang na ito dahil inaasahan natin na marami pang barangay ang gagawa ng sarili nilang pasilidad,” Belmonte said.

Animnapung barangay  ang wala pang ganitong pasilidad sa siyudad.

Sa mga barangay na walang isolation facilities, sinabi ni  Quezon City COVID-19 Task Force head Joseph Juico na maari silang tumungo sa mga karatig na barangay na may pasilidad.

“Some barangays that do not have any buildings due to their size will be provided with beds in nearby communities,” ani Juico.

“They can also bring their patients to any of our Hope Community Caring Facilities, which now have more than 2000 beds for patients,” dagdag niya.

Sinabi pa ni  Juico na may mga doktor mula sa City Health Department na regular na bibisita sa mga isolation facitlities sa barangay.
