19 POGO worker naospital sa ‘food poisoning’

LABING-siyam na Chinese national na nagtatrabaho sa Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO) center sa Kawit, Cavite, ang naospital dahil sa hinihinalang food poisoning sa pasilidad.

Dinala ang mga banyaga, may edad 19 hanggang 30, sa San Juan De Dios Hospital sa Pasay City matapos dumaing ng pananakit ng tiyan, sabi ni Lt. Col. Chitadel Gaoiran, tagapagsalita ng Calabarzon regional police.

Naganap ang insidente sa POGO facility na itinatayo sa dating kinatitirikan ng Island Cove resort sa Brgy. Pulvorista, at naiulat sa pulisya Huwebes ng umaga.

Doon na nakatira ang mga banyaga bagamat itinatayo pa lamang ang pasilidad, na pag-aari ng First Orient International Ventures, ayon sa ulat ng lokal na pulisya.

Lumabas sa inisyal na imbestigasyon na kumain ang mga banyaga sa kanilang in-house canteen, at dumanas ng pananakit ng tiyan makaraan ang ilang oras, ayon sa ulat.
