Jodi pahinga sa showbiz, tatapusin master’s degree in clinical psychology

NAGDESISYON si Jodi Sta. Maria na pansamantalang magpahinga sa paggawa ng teleserye at pelikula para ipagpatuloy ang kanyang pag-aaral.
Ibinalita ng Kapamilya actress na ipu-pursue niya ngayong taon ang pagkuha niya ng master’s program in clinical psychology.
“For now I will be taking like a short break from the serye. Kasi dire-diretso din. I also need to recharge and reenergize and to fill my creative juices.
“Kasi darating ka rin sa you run out of ideas kailangan mo lang din na may parte ng life mo na mapuno. This year also is a year of my continuing my studies,” ang pahayag ni Jodi sa panayam ng media nitong nagdaang Lunes, January 6.

Sabi pa ng aktres na nag-graduate ng college noong 2021, “This year, I’m taking up my master’s degree in clinical psychology.

“Kasi naiisip ko, as a human being, parang I can do so much more. Na parang mayroon pang life outside of showbizness. Naisip ko na, oo, I’m an actor, but I can put on another hat,” dagdag ni Jodi.
Pangarap ni Jodi na makatulong at makapagbigay ng mental health services sa lahat ng uri ng tao, “It’s my dream to put up a small center to make mental health accessible to all, hindi lang for people na kaya magbayad, but para sa lahat.
“‘Yung heart ko, from the time I started studying psychology, when I did acupuncture detox and got my certification there, ‘yun talaga nasa heart ko. And God willing, ‘yung dream na ‘yun will turn into reality,” aniya pa.
Knows n’yo ba na gustung-gusto ni Jodi ang pagiging estudyante? “Nag-eenjoy kasi ako. For some weird reason, I enjoy the feeling of being in a class. Gusto ko ‘yung student ako, nakaupo, nakaka-learn ako ng mga bagong things. Parang that sparks joy in my heart. It fascinates me.”
Abangan ang nalalapit na pagtatapos ng “Lavender Fields” dahil napakarami pa raw pasabog na eksena na mangyayari lalo na sa finale episode sa January 24.
Napapanood ang “Lavender Fields” sa Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC, TFC, A2Z, TV5, at Netflix. Kasama pa rin dito sina Jericho Rosales, Janine Gutierrez, Albert Martinez, Edu Manzano at marami pang iba.
