Palasyo sinabing bukas pa rin ang gobyerno sa peace talks sa NDF

SINABI ni Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process Jesus Dureza na bukas pa rin ang gobyerno sa usapang pangkapayapaan sa National Democratic Front (NDF), bagamat nagbigay ng mga kondisyon si Pangulong Duterte.

“The doors for the resumption of peace talks with the NDFP are still open. However, this is subject to the wishes of the President,” sabi ni Dureza.

Idinagdag ni Dureza na kabilang sa mga kondisyon na ibinigay ni Duterte ay walang coalition government, dapat itigil ng New People’s Army (NPA) ang pangungulekta ng revolutionary taxes, isasagawa ang usapang pangkapayapaan sa Pilipinas at magkakaroon ng ceasefire agreement.

Ayon pa Dureza, dapat manatili lamang sa itinakdang kampo ang mga NPA.

“In the meantime, localized peace arrangements may be pursued by the local government units with the insurgents in their respective areas of responsibility,” sabi pa ni Dureza.

Nauna nang nagsabi si Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria Sison na wala na ang peace talks at sa halip ay sasama na lamang ang komunistang grupo sa pagpapatalsik sa gobyerno.

“This way forward in the stalled peace talks was decided following the consolidation of various positions expressed during the command conference convened by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte Wednesday night in Malacañang,” dagdag pa no Dureza.

Ani Dureza nais din ni Duterte na manatili ang Norway bilang tagapamagitan sa usapang pangkapayapaan.
