Magmumukhang kriminal o ex-convict ang mga pulis na may tattoo– Bato

TUTOL si Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa sa panukalang payagan ang mga may tattoo na makapasok sa pagka-pulis, sa pagsasabing magmumukha silang kriminal o ex-convict.

“Pasensya na sa mga may tattoo ha, alam ko you will invoke your right to express your artistic desires. Sa inyo art, sa amin taboo. Prangkahan tayo… dahil pangit, parang criminal naman tignan ‘di ba, parang sa kulungan puro may tattoo. Parang ex-convict ang pulis ‘pag naka-uniporme na maraming tattoo,” sabi ni dela Rosa sa isang press briefing.
Idinagdag ni dela Rosa na payag naman siya na tanggalin ang height requirement sa mga gustong mag-pulis.

“Well height requirement sa PNPA (PNP Academy) matagal nang tinanggal ‘di ba… Kasi hindi naman talaga height ang basehan sa kagalingan at kabaitan ng tao ‘di ba. So we are open to that, okay sa amin, wala pong problema pero nasa batas po kasi namin ‘yan so kailangan another law na mag-modify, mag-amend sa batas na ‘yan,” sabi ni dela Rosa.
Nauna nang ipinanukala sa Kamara na payagan na ang mga may tattoo na pumasok sa PNP at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

“’Yung tago siguro ok lang pero makikita parin ‘yan ‘pag hubad nila roon sa health service dahil hubad ‘yan sila pero advise pa rin natin na tanggalin nila ‘yung tattoo nila,” giit ni dela Rosa.
