Insidente ng ligaw na bala bumaba nang 89.47% –PNP

Umabot umano sa 89.47 porsiyento ang ibinaba ng mga insidente ng ligaw na bala nitong nakaraang pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon, ayon sa pulisya kahapon.
Apat na insidente ng stray bullets na may apat na nasugatan ang naitala nitong nakalipas na pagsalubong, kumpara sa 38 insidente at 27 sugatan noong magtapos ang 2015, ayon kay Chief Supt. Camilo Pancratius Cascolan, hepe ng PNP Directorate for Operations.
Ang apat ay ang mga insidenteng nakabiktima kina Emilyn Villanueva, 15, ng Malabon City; Gian Penacilla, 10, ng Taguig City; Zenaida Rodriguez ng San Jose, Batangas; at Leomar Aquino, ng Quezon City.
Naitala ang mga insidente mula alas-5 ng hapon Disyembre 31, 2016 hanggang alas-5 ng umaga Enero 1, 2017.
Samantala, apat na insidente ng walang habas na pagpapaputok ng baril, o indiscriminate firing, ang naitala sa parehong mga oras, kumpara sa iisang insidente noong magtapos ang 2015.
“This record shows that there were incidents on Illegal Discharge of Firearms that were not reported last year,” sabi ni Cascolan sa isang kalatas.
“Furthermore, this is a result of heightened vigilance by PNP including maximum deployment during the 12-hour period from 5 p.m. of December 31, 2016 to 5 a.m. of January 1, 2017 as ordered by the PNP chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa,” aniya pa.
