Eraserheads

Baka Bet Mo: Ely sa tsismis tungkol sa ‘Spolarium’: I wouldn’t dream to tarnish my heroes

“I think I watched the very first cut… medyo iba pa ‘yung thrust of the narrative back then but even then I was already moved by the, of course, the nostalgia thing in our past,” sey niya.

“I never asked them, they never told me, so this is the first time we actually got to hear what they have to say,” dagdag pa niya.

Dahil sa dokumentaryo, mas bukas na raw si Ely sa pakikinig at pakikipag-usap: “I think I’m more willing to listen and have a conversation no matter how difficult it is.”

“I think what I got out of it was healing or it’s not like a destination or a finality, it’s like a work in progress, a process. So it doesn’t mean that they’ve gotten back together and it’s going to be perfect… they’re able to resolve conflict,” saad niya.

I think it was the right time. I mean, I’m turning 55. When you reach that age, you can think of your legacy and kind of trying to right the wrongs you did. I know that’s impossible when you have a lot of regrets, but you can do a documentary…I was willing to open up about the past.”

“In terms of the film, I kind of anticipated people would desire to see them again for more… this is my last documentary. I am going back to narrative features,” sambit ng direktor.

Hirit naman ng dating lead vocalist, “Diane has tried her best to really be comprehensive about it, but… there’s more to tell. Maybe in the future, who knows.”

Sumagot ulit si Diane at sinabing, “I’ll probably make that exception for them, but no other artist. Just them.”
