Ilang turistang Pinoy, sangkot sa shoplifting sa Hong Kong

NAGBABALA ang Philippine Consulate General sa Hong Kong tungkol sa pagtaas ng kaso ng shoplifting sa bansa mula January hanggang May 2024 kung saan sangkot ang ipang turidtang Pinoy.

Sa kanilang Facebook page ay ibinahagi nito na nagtaas ng 12% ang mga kaso kumpara noong January-May 2023.

“The Hong Kong Police Force logged a 12% increase in shoplifting cases from January to May 2024, compared to the same period in 2023.” saad sa post ng Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong.

Dito ay nabanggit na ilang turistang Pinoy ang sangkot sa mga naitalang krimen.

Kaya naman nagpaalala sila sa mga turistang Pinoy na sundin ang kanilang mga batas at mag-ingat sa kanilang mga gamit habang nagta-travel.

“In response, the Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong reminds all tourists from the Philippines to abide by the laws if Hong Kong, and to be vigilant in safeguarding their personal belongings when traveling for vacation.

Giit pa ng konsulado, may mabigat na parusa ang mahuhuli na lalabag sa kanilang batas.

“Under the Hong Kong Theft Ordinance , theft may be punished with a fine and/ or an imprisonment of up to 10 years.
