“It’s always time to dance for you. You’ve never let go. You’ve always stayed on the dancing community no matter what have you’ve been doing, kahit you went to showbiz na, you were so busy with school also, but you always took care of your passion, of your dancing.
“You’ve done more than what I’ve done during my times. You’re such a great dancer and you’re an inspiration to the youth. And I’m just very proud of what you’ve become onstage and outside as a human being, as a person, as a sister.
“You’ve been nothing but a great person so continue doing what you’re doing. You’re doing great. I’m very proud of you. Just continue dancing. It’s gonna be always time to dance,” mensahe ni Arjo sa ipinakitang video.
Emosyonal na reaksyon ni Gela, “We don’t talk a lot, so, with messages like this, I get emotional. We’re not ma-words, me and kuya, us siblings. Hindi kami ma-words. So, when I get stuff like that, I get emotional ‘cause it’s like a reward and a reminder to keep going.
“Naiyak ako when he said na I never let go. That’s true. The video brought me back to the moments na I wanted to stop dancing or give up but then, I would remember Kuya. He’s really one of the people that kept me going. Seeing that and hearing all of that coming from him, it’s just so touching, eh. Thank you, Kuya. I love you.”
At dahil nga gustong makasama ni Gela ang kuya niya sa pagsasayaw ay natanong kung magi-guest ito sa “Time to Dance.”
“I hope so, I’m crossing my fingers that kuya also finds time to rehearse ’cause he’s also very busy being a Congressman. Si Kuya po kasi he’s very meticulous when it comes to dancing. Ayaw niya ‘yung basta sasalang lang siya. He has to rehearse a week before minimum,” chika ng dalaga.
Aniya, “I wanted to do this because I want to help those who want to learn and explore dance as well as to inspire. I have teammates who were not financially stable enough to fly with us (nu’ng nag-compete sa ibang bansa) and that was when the realization hit me that I want to help because I’m privileged enough to do so. This show came to be because of the heart and passion.”
It’s how she shows her heart,” kwento ni Robi.
“We usually only see dancers when they’re already champions, but here, we get to see their struggles, sacrifices, and everything they’ve gone through to achieve their dreams,” esplika ni Gela kaya lagi siyang napapaluha.
“Hosting was a challenge for me because I’m not used to public speaking. With acting, it came naturally. But hosting made me push myself out of my comfort zone,” pag-amin ng dalaga.
“Dancing will always be closest to my heart because it is where everything started for me. Dance is the reason why I am where I am and for who I am. So, I will always give it to dance. But then, acting is really my first love,” sambit ni Gela.
“I’m so honored and grateful for the title. And I want to believe that I deserve it because, like I said, many of the things were given to me.
“So, in my head, I did ask myself at some point, ‘Did I not work hard enough for this?’ But then I would remind myself that, yes, I am the New Gen Global Champ because I really did become a global champ. That’s why I’m really holding on to this title and I’m really grateful, super grateful that it was given to me. Because for me, it’s not what it is or how big it is but what it means. Being a champion is like, you’re inspiring people, and that’s what’s important to me.”
Gigil at galing ang ipapamalas ng mga mananayaw sa “Time To Dance” na mapapanood na ngayong gabi, Sabado, January 18, sa Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z, MYX, iWantTFC, at TFC.
Bukod kina Ken San Jose at Coach Vimi Rivera ay magiging guest judges din sina AC Bonifacio at Darren Espanto at sikat na dance coaches na sina Chips Beltran, Lema Diaz, at Jobel Dayrit.
