Martin planong pakasalan ang non-showbiz GF kahit 62 na
Martin Nievera at Anj del Rosario
BUKAS pa rin ang puso at isipan ng Concert King na si Martin Nievera sa pagpapakasal sa edad niyang 62.
Hindi pa napag-uusapan ni Martin at ng kanyang partner na si Anj del Rosario ang kasal pero inamin ng Kapamilya singer-performer na hindi ito imposibleng mangyari.
In fairness, suportado palagi ni Anj ang mga projects ni Martin. Sa katunayan, present si Anj sa naganap na presscon para sa next major concert ni Martin, ang “The King 4ever” na ginanap sa Sky Bar ng Solaire Resort North last Friday, August 16.

Pero hindi siya epal na partner at never siyang nang-agaw ng eksena sa mga events na dinadaluhan ng Concert King kaya naman naa-appreciate siya ng mga kaibigan ni Martin in and out of showbiz.
Sa nakaraang mediacon ng “The King 4ever” concert natanong nga si Martin kung may plano na rin ba silang magpakasal ni Anj.

“I’m not against marriage. I see it in our future. I’m with this woman for the longest time, that she’s giving me happiness beyond happiness.
“And she made me the man I am today. So settled, so calm, so at ease, not in a rush to do anything. But I’m… we can get married one day. I don’t see it not happening, put it that way. I’m not against it,” paliwanag niya.

Habang sumasagot si Martin ay bini-video naman siya ni Anj hanggang sa bumaling din sa kanya ang camera ng ilang press people.
“Get used to the camera, sweetheart. Welcome to my world. She completes me,” ang pahayag ni Martin.
Dagdag chika pa ni Martin sa usaping kasal, “Our relationship is always been about me. And I think it’s time that she gets her moment. In our history so far, she hasn’t been asking about it. That’s why our relationship works.
“She doesn’t want to have that storybook wedding. She knows I have a very big load on my shoulder with my family. I’m still very close to my exes. I’m still raising children with my exes.

“So, she knows very well that it would be selfish of her to just think of herself. That’s what makes her the most beautiful person of my life, that she’s so understanding.
“But her time has to come where she walks that aisle, small aisle, maybe the beach… that we don’t know. I would like to give her a proposal that’s unforgettable.
“Do I see it in the near future? I don’t think I can wait too long, I’m 62. I don’t want to walk down the aisle with walker in the hand. I don’t want to be like that.
“I can’t tell you when. I don’t know when. But when the feeling is right, she will know first, you will know second,” lahad pa ng Concert King.
At tungkol naman sa dream wedding nila ni Anj, “It’s a wish whatever, she goes first. ‘Sure sweetheart! You want an elephant, come on! Let’s get an elephant! It’s your day!’
“But my ideal one is very private. Coz, we’ve never been showbiz. You only know about it today.
“So, it would be wrong for me to over produce a wedding or a proposal whatever and make it all showbiz, all about social media. That’s one thing I don’t think we should do,” dagdag chika pa ni Martin.
Ang “The King 4ever” concert ni Martin ay magaganap sa September 27 sa Araneta Coliseum, mula sa A Team ni Ogie Alcasid at ng IME ni Cacai Velasquez-Mitra.
Co-presentor din nila ang MWell sa 42nd anniversary concert ni Martin.
