Arci, John, Karen, Anne sang-ayon sa apela ni Leonardo DiCaprio sa Masungi
AGREE ang ilang bigating celebrities at personalidad sa panawagan ng Hollywood star na si Leonardo DiCaprio kaugnay sa Masungi Georeserve.
Magugunitang ibinandera ni Leonardo sa Instagram ang kanyang pagkabahala sa gitna ng mga talakayan na babawiin ang isang kasunduan noong 2017 sa pagitan ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) at Masungi Georeserve Foundation Inc. (MGFI).
Ayon sa kanya, kailangang protektahan ang protected area sa Tanay Rizal dahil kasalukuyan na itong nasa panganib na posibleng humarap sa banta ng pagmimina, pagtotroso, at marami pang iba.
Sa comment section ng IG post ng international actor, ilan lamang sa mga sumang-ayon ay sina Glaiza de Castro, Arci Munoz, John Arcilla, at ang TV broadcaster na si Karen Davila.
“Thank you so much for this awareness and call @leonardodicaprio. Such a noble endeavor; it’s a pity that we Filipinos ourselves are not even aware of this. Thank you. I will definitely share this,” wika ni John.

Samantala, recently lamang ay nakisali ang aktres na si Glaiza de Castro at Miss Universe Philippines first eunner-up Stacey Gabriel sa tree-nurturing activity sa nasabing lugar.
Ayon sa kanila, isa itong proyekto na naglalayong pangalagaan at protektahan ang ang rainforests sa Rizal.

Si Anne Curtis naman, ibinandera sa X (dating Twitter) ang kanyang suporta sa Masungi at inihayag na nais niya itong puntahan.
“We must protect [MasungiGeoreserve] [crying emojis]. I have yet to visit but have been meaning to go!” saad ng TV host-actress.
Matapos ang panawagan ni Leonardo, naglabas din ng official statement ang DENR at nanindigan na mananaig ang “rule of law” sa nasabing lugar.
“We appreciate the statements of concern for the Philippine environment from international celebrities who are distinguished in their respective fields. However, no one is exempt from the law,” sey ng ahensya.
