Darren pangarap maging host ng The Voice; tatapusin ang college

KUNG may isang ultimate dream ang Kapamilya singer-actor na si Darren Espanto sa kanyang career, yan ay ang maging host ng “The Voice Philippines.”
Yan ang sagot ng binata nang matanong kung ano ang nilu-look forward at tinatarget niya pagdating naman sa pagiging TV host.

In fairness, pinupuri ng mga manonood ang hosting style ni Darren sa noontime program ng ABS-CBN at GMA 7 na “It’s Showtime.”

Sa panayam kay Darren ni Luis Manzano para sa kanyang YouTube channel, inamin niyang inatake rin siya ng nerbiyos sa mga unang araw niya sa “Showtime” dahil ito ang first-ever na pagsabak niya sa isang napakalaking show bilang host.
“It was definitely something that I was kinda nervous about because siyempre hosting isn’t really part of what I do.
“It’s just something that I do on the sideline, ‘yun nga po mag-iintro, mag-spiels sa ASAP, mga ganu’n and then now hosting na talaga,” pahayag ng binata.
Sabi pa niya, “It helped that I’ve already known the hosts of Showtime for so long since parang ‘yun ang naging guesting namin after nu’ng grand finals sa The Voice Kids.
“Sa Showtime kami agad sinalang the next day so I’ve known them since 10 years ago,” dugtong ni Darren.

Happy din siya dahil parang tunay na kapamilya agad ang turing sa kanya ng lahat ng hosts ng programa pati na ng buong production.

“Day by day nangangapa pa rin [sa hosting] minsan but it helps that I got a bond with them. I just have fun, it doesn’t feel that you’re at work,” sabi pa ng singer-actor at TV host.
Nang tanungin nga ni Luis kung ano ang ultimate goal niya pagdating sa hosting, “It would be such a full circle moment to be part of The Voice one day, ‘yun siguro.”
Ngayong taon ay magse-celebrate na ng kanyang 10th anniversary sa entertainment industry si Darren kaya naman ang question sa kanya ni Luis ay kung ano naman ang goal niya for the next decade.
“Ten years from now siyempre I still want to do all of this — music, acting siguro in the future. But yeah one thing for sure, definitely still in the music scene, performing,” aniya.
Samantala, plano pa rin ni Darren na makakuha ng kanyang college degree at sana raw ay magawa na niya ito very soon.
“Sana po matuloy ko ‘yung pag-aaral kasi when I stopped it was high school na. So parang ‘yung college kasi kailangan may time ka to actually go in to the university or college in person,” pahayag ni Darren Espanto.
