PINALAGAN na ni Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi ang bashers matapos masangkot sa kontrobersiya.
Kaugnay ito sa naging reaction tweet niya matapos ang coronation night ng Miss Universe Philippines 2024 pageant noong May 22.
Magugunitang naging usap-usapan ang beauty queen nang ibinandera niya sa X (dating twitter) ang kanyang reaksyon at sinabing: “WHAT JUST HAPPENED,” kalakip ang hashtag na “MUPH 2024.”

Tila na-misinterpret ng maraming netizens ang post ni Celeste at dahil diyan ay kinuyog siya ng bashers.
May mga nagsabi na ‘yan din daw ang reaksyon nila nang makuha niya ang titulo ng MUPH 2022 at nabigong magwagi sa international pageant.
Heto ang ilan sa mga nabasa namin:
“Girl, that’s what people said when you won. Be kind!”
“That’s our question when you stopped the 12-year winning streak of PH.”
“Lol, coming from the worst Miss Universe Philippines candidate. Stay in your place, Celeste. Remember that you were the one who cut the streak and started the dark days of MUPH.”
Hindi naman nagtagal nang magkaroon ng paglilinaw ang Miss Universe Philippines 2022 kaugnay sa kanyang tweet at iginiit na hindi niya kinukwestyon ang pagkapanalo ng reigning queen na si Chelsea Manalo.
“Ya’ll need to chill. Haha,” wika ni Celeste.
Paliwanag niya sa X, “What I meant by what happened is how the other crowns were distributed. Where’s Cainta? Where’s Taguig?”
“Stop trying to make an issue; I have my bets, but I fully support whoever wins,” ani pa niya.

Tila kinukwestyon din kasi ng ilang pageant viewers kung bakit hindi nabigyan ng korona at titulo ang 1st runner-up na si Stacey Gabriel ng Cainta at si Christi McGarry mula Taguig na hinirang na 4th runner-up sa kompetisyon.
Samantala, ang early favorite na si Atisha Manalo na naging 2nd runner-up ay itinanghal na Miss Cosmo Philippines 2024.
Ang nag-uwi naman ng Miss Supranational Philippines ay si Tarah Valencia ng Baguio at ang Miss Charm Philippines ay napunta kay Cyrille Payumo na pambato ng Pampanga.
Kung matatandaan, bago ang coronation ay nauna nang inanunsyo ng The Miss Philippines Organization na mas marami ang kokoronahang reyna sa Miss Universe Philippines competition ngayong taon dahil may apat na nadagdagang titles.
Ito ang Miss Supranational Philippines, Miss Charm Philippines, Miss Eco International Philippines, at Miss Cosmo Philippines.
