Bilang ng mga bumisita sa bansa ngayong Abril umabot ng 2-M, sey ng DOT

MAHIGIT dalawang milyon ang naitalang international visitors sa ating bansa para sa buwan ng Abril.

Ayon sa Department of Tourism (DOT) noong April 25, karamihan diyan ay mga dayuhang turista na nasa 95 percent, habang nasa five percent ang mga kababayan nating OFWs.

Ang bilang ngayong taon ay mas mataas nag 15.11 percent kumpara sa na-record ng kaparehong buwan noong nakaraang taon na umabot sa 1.7 million.

Heto ang top ten countries na may pinakamaraming inbound visitor arrivals sa Pilipinas na ayon na rin sa data ng DOT:

Umaasa si Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco na patuloy na dadami ang mga bibisita sa Pilipinas sa mga susunod na buwan.

“We are hopeful that with more investments in tourism infrastructure as well as much needed increase in connectivity as well as improvements in air, land, and sea infrastructure and accessibility, the numbers can further increase,” saad ni Frasco sa isang pahayag.

Sa taong 2024, target ng ahensya na maabot ang 7.7 million international visitors, na halos kasing dami noong 2019 na nagtala ng 8.26 million inbound visitor arrivals.
