Venus Raj ibinandera na ang mister, chinika ang nakakakilig nilang ‘love story’

SA kauna-unahang pagkakataon, opisyal nang ipinakilala ni Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Venus Raj ang kanyang non-showbiz husband na si North Orillan sa publiko.
Noong December 12 lamang nang ikinasal ang couple na naganap sa Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF) Center sa Pasig City.
At kung maaalala ninyo, tila naging guessing game sa ilang media outlets kung sino ‘yung guy na papakasalan niya matapos ilabas ni Venus ang ilang pre-nuptial photos.
Napagkamalan pa ngang soon-to-be husband niya ang photographer na si Nelwin Uy.
Dahil diyan, naglabas ng pahayag ang beauty queen at nilinaw na hindi niya partner si Nelwin, kundi wedding photographer niya.
Anyway, noong January 12, nagkaroon ng special episode ang “Major Major Podcast with Venus Raj” at doon nakasama ng beauty queen ang kanyang asawa.

Sa pamamagitan ng sampung questions, unti-unti nilang isiniwalat ang ilan sa mga hindi pa nalalaman ng marami bilang mag-partner.
Siyempre, isa sa mga chinika ng newlyweds ay kung paano sila nagkakilala hanggang sa humantong na nga sa forever ang kanilang pag-iibigan.
“North and I were friends since 2018. Acquaintances kami from church,” sey ni Venus.
Kwento niya, “When I became a Christian, I really served in the ministry…So pumupunta-punta kami sa satellite ng church and North is from Mindanao and there’s a satellite there where he goes to church…and he was in a relationship during that time. So wala, magkakilala lang.”
“And then, [October] 2022, North’s brother got married and then they got me to be the host of the wedding and then si North was the ‘Best Man’ and doon we just reconnected…I think it was during that time when we started having conversations and you know, deeper conversations and then hanggang after the wedding, nag-continue ‘yung communication na ‘yun,” chika pa ng beauty queen.
Patuloy niya, “Then 2022 of December, we became a couple and then seven months after, [North] proposed and then [on] December 12, we got married.”
Ayon naman kay North, isa sa mga nagustuhan niya kay Venus ay ang pagiging independent.
Aminado rin siya na naging challenging ito sa kanya noong una bilang partner at mister ng beauty queen.
Sambit ng mister ni Venus, “One of the most attractive things that I saw in you [is] you take initiative, you’re a natural born leader. And going into the relationship, parang it became a challenge because now I’m in a position where I am the one who has to be the leader and to lead you who’s been a leader basically your whole life.”
“But again, because of the communication we shared it becomes more manageable as each day it goes by,” ani niya.
Kabilang din sa Q&A ng mag-asawa ay ‘yung goals and dreams nila para sa taong 2024.
Ang sagot ni North, gusto niyang magkaroon ng anak with Venus, lalo na’t nag-uumpisa na sila sa panibagong journey bilang mag-asawa.
“For me, for us as a family, I wanna start, you know, and have a baby,” saad ng non-showbiz husband.
Ani pa niya, “So we’ve been praying about this even until now and that’s definitely something that I look forward to.”
Sumang-ayon din diyan ang beauty queen, pero ayon sa kanya: “Kahit planuhin namin ni North ‘yan nang maigi, it’s still the Lord’s will that will prevail.”
Sa huli, nagbigay ng advice sina Venus at North para sa iba pang couples, lalo na sa newlyweds.
“I would say not to allow people to dictate where your relationship would go or not to allow people to be the one to define the kind of dynamics you will have as a couple, because it is the both of you who will work in the relationship,” sey ni Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up.
Aniya pa, “So if hahayaan natin kung ano ang sinasabi ng ibang tao na ‘yun ang magdikta sa relationship natin, hindi siya maganda.”
