Baguhang singer-actress na si Geraldine Jennings palaban, bibida agad sa ‘Isla Babuyan’
PROMISING ang baguhang singer-actress na si Geraldine Jennings, na bibida agad sa kanyang launching movie na “Isla Babuyan.”
Nakilala namin ang dalaga kamakailan sa naganap na mediacon para sa mga gagawin niyang projects ngayong 2024. Madadagdag siya sa roster of artists ng talent manager na si Leo V. Dominguez.
British ang tatay ni Geraldine at Pinay naman ang kanyang nanay. Nag-aral siya sa British School Manila sa BGC ng nursery hanggang Year 2, “When I moved to UK in 2009, I moved to Edinburgh, and I attended both private schools Fettes College, and in my last year of high school, I attended Loretto School.”
After high school, nag-aral siya sa Loyola Marymount University sa Los Angeles, California sa kursong Business Management with Music (and acting).
“Now, I am currently studying in the University of London. My first love is singing and playing the guitar. I also am passionate about acting,” sey ni Geraldine.
Aniya pa, “When I was 14, I joined my first competition, sa Teenstar UK singing competition in 2018 and got to the finals. Then I joined and won the prestigious future music development award in the Open Mic UK singing competition, and performed at the 02 Arena in London.”
Kahit nasa United Kingdom ang dalaga, never daw niyang nakalimutan ang pagiging Pinay kaya kapag may chance ay nagbabakasyon siya sa Pilipinas.
Samantala, going back sa launching film na “Isla Babuyan”, napasabak agad siya sa kissing scene with his leading man na si Jameson Blake.
“It was fine, it was natural, it was normal, I wasn’t nervous at all, it was just normal, you know. He’s a nice person and I knew him beforehand, it wasn’t like I didn’t know him, so, yeah, it was good, it was fine,” lahad ng dalaga sa naganap na presscon last Friday.
Paglalarawan ni Geraldine sa kanilang pelikula, isa raw itong romantic tragicomedy, “It’s dark, sexy, disturbing and very sarcastic romance, and a surreal soap opera.”
Almost 50% na raw ang nasu-shoot nila para sa “Isla Babuyan”, “It was an amazing experience, it’s still ongoing, we haven’t finished it.
“It was challenging initially because it’s very different from studying it but everyone was so helpful, so friendly, and it was really natural to me. It was natural and felt normal and it felt great. I love it!” aniya pa.
Kasama rin sa “Isla Babuyan” sina Lotlot de Leon, Nathalie Hart, Paolo Gumabao, Dave Borneo, Samantha Da Roza at marami pang iba. Ito’y mula sa Solid Gold Entertainment mula sa direksyon ni Abdel Langit.
Sabi naman ng manager ni Geraldine na si Leo Dominguez, matagal na niyang kilala si Geraldine at ang mommy nito, “Matagal ko nang kino-convince si Gina na mag-artista si Geraldine. Years and years ago pa. Bago pa mag-pandemic, kino-convince ko na sila.”
