Miss Nepal Jane Garrett agaw-eksena sa premilinary competition ng Miss Universe 2023 dahil sa pagiging plus-size, pero ninega ng ilang bashers

ISA sa mga hot topic ngayon sa social media na may konek sa ginaganap ngayong Miss Universe 2023 ay ang pagrampa ni Miss Universe Nepal Jane Dipika Garrett.
Sa katatapos lamang na preliminary competition ng naturang international pageant na idinaos sa National Gymnasium, San Salvador, El Salvador, kahapon, November 16, nang-agaw nang eksena ang bet ng Nepal.
Nagpatalbugan ang 86 kandidata mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng universe suot ang kanilang pasabog na mga swimsuit at evening gown, kabilang na riyan ang representative ng Pilipinas na si Michelle Dee.
Of course, expected na ang paandar na pagrampa ng Kapuso actress with her red swimsuit and green evening gown. Halos lahat ng Pinoy pageant fans ay napanganga at napa-wow sa awrahan ni Michelle.
Pero bukod nga kay Michelle, talagang nag-viral at trending din sa social media ang naging performance ni Miss Universe Nepal sa ginanap na Miss Universe 2023 preliminaries.
Umani ng malakasang palakpakan at hiyawan si Miss Nepal mula sa audience nang rumampa na siya sa stage para sa kanyang pagpapakilala.

“Confidently beautiful” kasi ang peg ni Jane na isang proud plus-size, at bitbit ang kanyang adbokasiya tungkol sa body positivity, hormonal health, at mental health for women.
Mabilis na nag-trending ang pangalan ni Miss Nepal sa X (dating Twitter) at halos lahat ng nabasa naming comments ay puro positive and inspiring message.
Comment ng isang netizen, “If there’s one Miss Universe 2023 candidate that I want to see included in the top 20, it is Miss Nepal. I just hope she is not only huge in size, but also in other qualities that the judges looked for during the preliminaries. She’s simply a bombshell!”

Reaksyon ng ABS-CBN reporter na si Dyan Castillejo, “THE CHEERS FOR MISS NEPAL JANE GARRETT AS SHE EMERGES IN HER @rubinsinger SWIMSUIT. She truly wears her advocacy of body positivity on her sleeve.”

May mga kumontra naman sa mga nagsabing may laban si Miss Nepal this year.
“She’s okay but she has a little bit of attitude based on the video i saw on IG.”
“Chubby girls are the most beautiful… God forbid anything slim in my life. It’s a no for me. Love her message on Body positivity, but there are far more adequate candidates for the crown.”
“She is getting all this hype for being plus size, but her pageantry technique, her poses, her presence is not Top 20 worthy. Needs more work imo. Beautiful girl.”
Kinoronahan si Jane bilang Miss Universe Nepal 2023 noong September 9. Aniya sa isang panayam, “As a woman who is curvy and who does not meet certain beauty standards, I’m here to represent women who are curvy, who struggle with weight gain, who struggle with hormonal issues.
“I believe that there is not only one type of beauty standard but every single woman is beautiful just as she is,” dagdag pa niya.
Samantala, kasama naman si Michelle sa 10 silver finalists para sa Voice for Change competition ng Miss Universe 2023.
