Ricardo Cepeda ipinagtanggol ng anak matapos maaresto dahil sa estafa: ‘Please spread the word, my father was wrongfully accused’

WALANG nagawang krimen ang veteran actor na si Ricardo Cepeda. Yan ang pinanindigan ng kanyang stepson matapos arestuhin ang ama dahil sa kasong syndicated estafa.
Sa pamamagitan ng Facebook, ipinagtanggol ni Joshua de Sequera ang kanyang tatay na nakakulong ngayon sa Quezon City Police District Camp Karingal.
Inaresto si Ricardo ng mga operatiba ng QCPD at Criminal Investigaton and Detection Unit (CIDU) sa Caloocan City, sa bisa ng warrant of arrest na inilabas ni Judge Gemma Bucayu-Madrid ng Regional Trial Court Branch 12 ng Sanchez Mira, Cagayan.
Ito’y dahil sa paglabag sa Article 315 (2a) ng Revised Penal Code ng Presidential Decree 1689. Walang piyansa na inirekomenda ang korte para sa pansamantala niyang kalayaan.
Ito naman ang FB status ng anak ng aktor bilang paglilinis sa pangalan ng kanyang ama.

Paglilinaw ni Joshua, product endorser lang siya ng sangkot na kumpanya at wala ring kinalaman sa investment scheme at bouncing checks ng inirereklamong kumpanya.

“They used the title BRAND AMBASSADOR (which many companies also use),” bahagi ng FB post ng anak ng aktor.

Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “The company offered an investment scheme (which he had no knowledge nor participation of) which paid people a big % profit monthly.

“Guaranteed with advanced payouts in monthly postdated checks. Eventually the checks started bouncing so the investors filed estafa cases against everyone who they thought was part of the company. Including Ricardo -who was just the celebrity model.
“His lawyer can easily prove his innocence by presenting a copy of DTI showing the company is a sole proprietorship and his name is not there.
“Also his name appears nowhere on any of the said investment moas and post dated checks,” sabi pa ng anak ng aktor.
At dahil wala ngang piyansa ang kinasasangkutang kaso ni Ricardo, “Request for bail and if ever court date is his biggest hassle because it means he’s stuck in detainment even though he’s innocent.
“I have seen a lot of hateful comments about this. IF YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF,” sabi pa niya.
Regular na napapanood si Ricardo sa Kapamilya action-drama series na “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” at halos lahat ng fans ng serye ay kumampi sa aktor.
