‘Eat Bulaga’ hosts nag-resign na rin kasunod ng pagbibitiw ng TVJ
SUNOD-SUNOD na ring nag-aalisan ang iba pang main hosts ng longest-running noontime show na “Eat Bulaga” matapos ang pagbibitiw nina Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, at Joey De Leon kahapon, May 31.
Ngayong araw, June 1, nag-submit ang mga ito ng kanilang resignation letter sa presidente ng TAPE (Television and Production Exponents) Inc. na si Romeo Jalosjos.
Ang naturang resignation letter ay pirmado ng mga “Eat Bulaga” hosts na sina Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Ryan Agoncillo, Allan K, at Ryzza Mae Dizon.

“All the hosts, writers, sales, production, and cameramen followed suit immediately after TVJ’s resignation,” saad ng isa sa mga hosts noon ng “Eat Bulaga”.
Bukod sa mga hosts ay marami na rin mula sa produksyon ang nag-resign sa “Eat Bulaga” gaya ng mga writers, cameraman, at mga empleyado sa sales.
Talaga namang pinatunayan ng nga ito na sa kabila ng kanilang hinaharap na pagsubok ay nananatiling “one for all, all for one” ang kanilang samahan.
Samantala, naglabas naman na ng opisyal na pahayag ang TAPE Inc. hinggil sa pag-alis nina Tito, Vic, at Joey sa kanilang poder.
“TAPE, INC. is saddened by the turn of events yesterday, May 31, but we respect the decision of the hosts to leave Eat Bulaga and GMA 7 Network, which has been their home for 28 years.
“We are grateful to the men and women who worked tirelessly for the past 43 years to make our noontime show number 1,” saad sa official statement.
Ngunit ayon sa TAPE, ang success ng “Eat Bulaga” ay hindi dependent sa tatlong tao bagkus sa collaborative efforts ng mga talents, production crew, at ng mga manonood.
Sinisiguro naman nila sa publiko at sa mga taga-supporta ng naturang noontime show na patuloy silang maghahatid ng “quality entertainment”.
Pagpapatuloy ng TAPE, “We are happy for the full support of GMA 7 in making Eat Bulaga bigger, to bring more fun and excitement to every Filipino.”
“It is unfortunate, but life must go on. As with life, we have to accept changes but we have a duty to every Filipino.
“Abangan ninyo ang mga bagong magpapasaya at magpapatibok ng ating mga puso. Aasahan ninyo ang mas masaya, mas nakakaaliw at HIGIT PA SA ISANG LIBO’T ISANG TUWA na Eat Bulaga.”
