BAGAY na bagay sa TV host-actor na si Sam YG ang bagong proyektong ipinagkatiwala sa kanya ng Anima Studios at A+E Networks Asia.
Siya ang napili bilang host ng “Nego King”, ang tinaguriang ultimate “budol” show na in-adapt mula sa isang hit Korean web variety show na mapapanood na sa ANIMA Studios’ YouTube channel at LazLive sa Lazada app simula sa February 8, 8 p.m..
“I’m super honored for me to be chosen as the host of ‘Nego King’. It’s a very popular show in Korea and the concept is really interesting.
“But as the host, it’s a big challenge for me to do it. We have taped several episodes and it’s not easy to talk to random strangers, lalo na ang mga Pilipino, mahiyain, so kapag tumakbo, hinahabol ko sila,” simulang pahayag ni Sam YG.
Sey pa ng magaling na comedian, ns-shookt daw siya nang ialok sa kanya ang show, “Sabi ko, ‘kinukuha ba nila ako dahil Bumbay ako.’ I thought it was a joke.

“And then eventually I found out, I watched the few episodes, and it was a very interesting show. Talagang nilalapitan nila ‘yung mga tao, ‘alam mo ba itong product na ito? itong service na ito?’” chika pa ni Sam.
Pagpapatuloy pa niya, “Being Bumbay is in my blood. And I can actually nego because that is part of my blood. Kahit sa simpleng bagay, I really make sure na I really get the best deal.
“Lahat naman tayo ganu’n, especially after the pandemic. When we want to buy something, we want to get the most out of our money,” sabi pa niya.
Sa programa, gagawin daw niya ang lahat para makatawad sa mga produktong magugustuhan niya, “Talagang lalapitan ko ‘yung mga tao, man on the street, mga normal citizens. Ako ang hahabol sa kanila. Grabe sa kulit ‘yung Korean (host), kaya sabi ko dapat ‘di tayo mapahiya.”
“I don’t even know the product or service that I am going to be talking about or dealing with for the episode. Iri-reveal siya sa akin naka-camera on na. Ganoon siya ka raw. Ganoon siya ka-candid,” sabi pa ni Sam YG.
Sabi naman ni Bianca Balbuena, ang head ng ANIMA, “On top of our objective to wildly entertain our viewers each and every episode, we also want to reward them royally with unprecedented deals courtesy of our episode partners.”
Ayon sa Managing director ng A+E Networks Asia na si Saugato Banerjee, umaasa sila na magugustuhan ng Filipino viewers ang mga pasabog ng “Nego King”.

Samantala, kinumusta rin ng press ang married life ni Sam with his non-showbiz partner Essa Santos. Ikinasal ang dalawa last March, 2022.
Tugon ng TV host, “It’s an ongoing nego…tiation. My wife is a very private person from Cagayan de Oro and she’s with the corporate world.
“We did a lot of adjustment but so far, it’s been great. I am enjoying it and I look forward to going home to her from work every night.
“Nego King takes me out of town to interview people in the provinces and she’s very supportive. I might be Nego King but she’s definitely the queen of our home. I’m looking forward to a lasting marriage with her,” sey pa ni Sam YG.
