SA kauna-unahang pagkakataon ay nakaranas ng matinding pamba-bash at panlalait ang OPM artist at tinaguriang Prince of R&B na si Kris Lawrence.
Ito’y matapos nga niyang ipagtanggol ang controversial TV host-actress na si Alex Gonzaga sa pambabastos nito sa isang waiter na nag-serve sa kanyang birthday salubong noong January 15.
Talagang bugbog-sarado ang award-winning singer sa mga netizens na galit na galit kay Alex dahil nga sa pamamahid nito ng cake sa mukha ng food server na si Allan Crisostomo.
Sinabi kasi ni Kris na “normal thing” lang naman daw ang pahiran ng cake lalo na sa mga birthday celebration kaya para sa kanya ay walang masama sa ginawa ni Alex sa waiter.
Pero hindi nga ito naging katanggap-tanggap sa mga netizens kaya naman nadamay na rin siya sa tindi ng pagkaimbiyerna ng madlang pipol.
Nakausap namin si Kris kahapon via chat at diretsahan namin siyang tinanong kung kumusta na siya ngayon at nagsisisi ba siya sa pagdepensa kay Alex laban sa mga bashers.
“I’ve had better days. But first time in my life I’ve read the most hurtful things said to me and about me. Mejo OA,” ang tugon sa amin ni Kris.

At kung may pagsisisi nga on his part, “Wala naman. It’s my opinion. It was my comment and I know what i meant.
“The others (mga bashers) are giving their own definition to my comment.
“I believe the way they read it and interpret it is just a reflection of what they are truly feeling inside. They are probably not happy with themselves,” pahayag pa ng OPM artist.
Inamin din niya sa isang interview na naapektuhan din kahit paano ang kanyang mental health dahil sa nangyari. Sentimyento pa niya, “People who I thought were friends from the media are actually feeding off of it. It’s hard kasi I know myself and I never intended harm on anyone, and why are people deciding on what my character is?”
“It makes me question myself and my achievements in my life. I can see why a weak-minded person would be depressed or commit suicide after bashing.
“I never thought of it naman, but I think people should know that bashing and bullying is a serious thing and people can easily do it in a flash without thinking. People have different perspectives. The intention is the important thing,” aniya pa.
Lahad pa niya, “They say they want an apology from me but I didn’t even do anything, di naman ako ang nagpahid ng cake, and my intention was to diffuse the bashing.
“No one is perfect. It feels like lahat nang ginawa mong maganda sa buhay, lahat ng tao na pinasaya mo, nabura dahil na-misinterpret at na-misunderstand ka ng mga tao,” sabi pa niya.
