John Arcilla sa pagkamatay ng mga mahal sa buhay dahil sa COVID: Hindi mo pwedeng kwestyunin ang Diyos

PARA sa award-winning actor na si John Arcilla, ang “A Hard Day” na ang isa sa mga pinakamahirap na pelikulang nagawa niya.
Matindi ang mga challenges na hinarap niya habang ginagawa ang movie under Viva Films na pinagbibidahan ni Dingdong Dantes sa direksyon ni Lawrence Fajardo.
Ani John, grabe ang mga eksena nila ni Dingdong sa pelikula at talagang medyo pinahirapan sila ni Direk Lawrence pero aniya isa rin ang “A Hard Day” sa pinakamagandang proyekto na ginawa niya.
Ang “A Hard Day” ay Philippine adaptation ng 2014 South Korean crime action film na may parehong title, at tampok si Lee Sun-Kyun (Parasite).
Ito ay naging official selection din sa 2014 Cannes Film Festival’s Director’s Fortnight at sa South Korea naman, tumabo ang “A Hard Day” ng mga awards mula sa mga iba’t ibang award-giving bodies, kabilang na ang prestihiyosong Baeksang Arts Awards, kung saan nakuha nila ang Best Actor at Best Director awards.
Ito naman ang magiging official entry ng Viva Films sa 47th Metro Manila Film Festival, kung saan magpapatalbugan sa aksyon at drama ang MMFF at The EDDYS best Actor na si Dingdong Dantes at si John na itinanghal na 2021 Venice Film Festival winner ng Volpi Cup for Best Actor.
Sa ginanap na virtual mediacon ng Viva Films para kay John, grabe ang
papuri ng aktor kay Dingdong bilang katrabaho. Bukod sa talagang napakagaling na aktor ay hanga rin siya sa professionalism nito.
Nang tanungin naman tungkol sa “hardest days” na naranasan sa buhay, ito ay ang pagkamatay ng ilan sa mga kapamilya at kaibigan na tinamaan ng COVID-19.
“It’s just really hard kasi there were a lot of people that you love who suffered from this pandemic, and you have to move on.
“You have to hold on to your faith. You have to recreate the joy and the happiness that you knew before because, whether you like it or not, when a loved one passed away especially during this pandemic, it’s not really very easy,” pahayag ni John.
Patuloy pa niya, “But then, you cannot question the will of God. When I tell the story, it’s coming back again, but in my daily basis, somehow na-overcome ko na yung hurdles na mas mabibigat.
“And the faith and the spirituality really helped me a lot,” ang medyo emosyonal pang paglalahad ng aktor.

Samantala, todo naman ang pagpapasalamat si John sa Italian Embassy Manila sa parangal na ibibigay sa kanya na gaganapin sa Cultural Center of the Philippines sa January, 2022.
Ito ay para sa parangal na dinala niya sa bansa matapos tanggapin ang Volpi Cup for Best Actor
sa 78th Venice Film Festival noong September, 2021 para sa natatanging pagganap niya sa “On the Job: The Missing 8” produced by Reality MM Studios.
“It is such a great honor that the embassy is providing me now a space and a stage because I was not able to receive the Volpi Cup myself during that particular special day in Venice.
“But now they’re providing me stage and a program for me to recieve it personally was really such a big honor. I was also thankful to the producers and my director (Dondon Monteverde and Erik Matti),” sabi ni John.
Samantala, siguradong matutuwa ang movie fans sa pang-award na namang acting nina Dingdong at John sa makapigil-hiningang suspense at action na hatid ng pelikula.
Kaya huwag palalagpasin ang official entry ng Viva Films sa 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival, ang “A Hard Day” na ipalalabas na sa Dec. 25, sa mga sinehan nationwide.
