Mylene Dizon walang balak gawing retirement fund ang mga anak: Hindi ako maniningil

GINAGAWA nga bang investment ng mga magulang ang kanilang mga anak o obligasyon nga ba na tulungan o alagaan sila pagtanda nila bilang pagtanaw ng utang na loob.
Ito ang isa sa katanungan sa ginanap na mediacon ng pelikulang “Family Matters” nitong Miyerkoles ng gabi sa isang hotel sa Quezon City.
Unang sumagot si Mylene Dizon bilang isa sa mga anak nina Noel Trinidad at Liza Lorena kasama sina Agot Isidro, Nikki Valdez, Ian Pangilinan, James Blanco at JC Santos.
“There are three different things already. There is our obligation to take care of our parents because they are our parents, not really obligations but it’s I want to do it. Either you want to do it or you do not want to do it.
“There’s another thing when we make our children as in investment to secure our future, that’s wrong! For me definitely that’s wrong, super wrong. That’s not the obligation of the children.
“I will never obligate my children, hindi ako maniningil, I’ve never do that but I’d rather advise my children to take care of their family in the future and to be better people (better parents).”

Opinyon naman ng nagsulat ng script na si Ms Mel del Rosario, “I’d like to think na ang pagmamahal ng magulang mahirap na hindi rin pagmamahal ang isusukli ng anak. Dalawa lang kasi ang pipiliin, being someone who really..I’d taken care of my mom since I was 13 (years old), na-stroke na siya and it’s really I would say it’s love kasi ‘yung pagmamahal na kinamulatan ko, isusukli ko lang din.”
Wala namang anak si Agot kaya hindi siya makarelate at independent siya “wala, so, no one will take care of me, pero ano ako I’m taking care of my siblings, wala na kaming parents. My family is my siblings and their kids.
“Not expecting in return na walang mag-aalaga sa akin kaya ibinibigay ko sa inyo, walang ganu’n. ‘Yun lang sa akin.”
Nabanggit din ni Agot na kapag usapang politics, religions at money ay umiiwas na siya dahil endless debates daw iyon.
Anyway, abangan ang “Family Matters” sa December 25, entry ng Cineko Productions sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 mula sa direksyon ni Nuel Naval.
