SANG-AYON si 5th district councilor Aiko Melendez sa mandatory drug testing tulad nina Sen. Robin Padilla at Leyte 4th District Representative Richard Gomez.
Sa kanyang Facebook account ngayong hapon ay nag-post si Konsi Aiko ng kanyang saloobin tungkol sa mainit na isyu ng mandatory drug testing.
Aniya, “My unsolicited opinion on my brothers in the industry, Senator Robin Padilla and Congressman Richard GOMA Gomez take on the MANDATORY DRUG TESTING.
“Kahit naman magkaiba sila ng pananaw tungkol sa issue makikita naman na pareho silang sang-ayon na ang illegal drugs ay nakakasira sa buhay di lang ng kabataan but also sa lahat ng nagiging addicted dito no matter the age,” simulang pagbabahagi ng aktres-politiko.
Dagdag pa niya, “For me, as a public servant, just as they are, my take on this is that I AGREE on the mandatory drug testing kasi, aminin naman na natin, our industry is one of the most susceptible sectors to drug addiction.
“One, because of the external and internal influences coming from every directions, especially to the youth. Two, the hours we keep at work. Ang iba sa amin, sume-segue from one taping/shooting to the next without proper rest na ang sagot sa kangaragan or pagod is drugs that have upper effects.

“Ang dami ko nang nakita and nabalitaan na sa simula pangpagising lang daw hanggang ang ending, nagbebenta na ng mga kagamitan hanggang wala nang kumukuha kasi hindi na maaasahan sa trabaho.
“I agree on the mandatory drug test because prevention is always better than cure. Mas maganda maiiwas natin ang paggamit ng droga before it gets to the point of rehabilitation,” paliwanag pa niya.
Kamakailan ay pinangunahan ni Sen. Robin ang drug testing na siya mismo ang kusang loob na nagpunta sa PDEA para magpa-drug test, sabi nga niya, “Sinimulan ko na, tapusin n’yo na.”
Para kay Cong. Goma ay hindi lang dapat sa showbiz industry ang mandatory drug testing dapat daa maging sa mga pampubliko at pribadong ahensiya rin para sa kapakanan ng lahat.
Sa pagpapatuloy ni konsi Aiko, “But as what Cong. Richard suggested it should be across the board, not just in our industry. Public and private agencies and firms should also have theirs on a regular basis.
“Also, I don’t think it’s a violation to human rights if it is for the good of the majority. But as what Sen. Binoe also suggests, employers should shoulder the tests if it is work related.
“Walang magandang maidudulot ang droga. Bukod sa malulustay ang perang pinaghirapan mo, papangit ka pa kapag nag adik ka. Sino ba may gustong makita na nangyayari yan sa kakilala o kasamahan mo sa trabaho?
“And lastly, information drive. Educate. Educate. Educate.” aniya pa.
Samantala, kakapost lang ni Aiko na maysakit siya ngayon at nag-aalala ang manager niyang si Ogie Diaz dahil bukas na ang promo ng programa nilang “Mano Po 3.”
