‘Isama n’yo na ‘ko’ comment ni Robin viral uli matapos maaresto si Duterte

PINAGPIPIYESTAHAN ng netizens ang pahayag noon ni Sen. Robin Padilla kapag inaresto ang kapwa niya senador na si Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa sakaling isyuhan din ito ng arrest warrant ng International Criminal Court.
Isa si Robin sa mga senador na kilalang kakampi ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na inaresto kahapon, March 11, ng Philippine National Police sa bisa ng arrest warrant na inisyu ng ICC.
Isang Facebook page ang naglabas ng naging pahayag ni Sen. Robin two years ago para ipagtanggol ang kagrupo niyang si Sen. Bato na iniuugnay din sa “war on drugs” na ipinatupad umano ni Duterte noong nanunungkulan pa siya.
Si Bato ang nagsilbing PNP chief sa ilalim ng administrasyon ni Duterte at sinasabing naging katuwang ng dating Presidente sa pagpapatupad ng madugong “Oplan Tokhang” campaign.
Ayon sa report ng ICC, 12,000 to 30,000 katao umano ang napatay sa naturang kampanya kontra droga. Pero ayon naman sa record ng government, umabot lamang sa 6,248 indibidwal ang namatay sa anti-drug operations ng PNP.
Ang “Follow the Trend Movement” o FFTM ang isa pa sa naglabas sa social media ng statement ni Sen. Robin noong March, 2023, kapag inaresto rin ng ICC si Dela Rosa.

“Kung huhulihin nila si Bato, isama niyo na ako dahil ako, isa ako sa sumuporta kay Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte diyan sa drug war.
“Walang iwanan nga, e. Sasamahan ko sila kung saan sila, tutal sanay naman tayo sa kulungan. Sa abroad pa, naku, masarap pagkain doon. Okay ‘yon,” ang viral statement ng aktor at public servant.
Nakulong din kasi si Robin matapos ma-convict sa kasong illegal possession of firearms noong 1994.
Nauna rito, naghain naman ang kampo nina Duterte at Dela Rosa ng petisyon sa Supreme Court na atasan ang gobyerno na i-release ang dating pangulo mula sa custody ng PNP matapos itong arestuhin sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 para sa mga nagawa niyang “crimes against humanity.”
“We are earnestly praying to the Honorable SC to grant us a TRO, restraining the Philippine government, the respondent, from cooperating with the ICC,” ayon kay Atty. Israelito Torreon, legal counsel nina Duterte at Dela Rosa.
“And to release outright from custody our beloved former President Rodrigo Duterte on the ground that his detention now is illegal, unconstitutional, and has no basis under the law,” aniya pa.
Kasama sa petisyon ang pag-request ng TRO “to prohibit the government from coordinating and providing assistance to the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) or any foreign law agency regarding the execution of warrants.
“…and if already arrested, that the Honorable Court order that the petitioners or any other individuals in connection with the ICC’s investigation be immediately released.
“And we call upon the Philippine government to stick with the law, with the rule of law, that since the Philippines is no longer a party to the ICC, then it has no business anymore cooperating with such a body, including the international police, Interpol,” sabi pa ni Torreon.
