Ayon sa report, namatay ang 30-year-old American beauty queen at lawyer matapos tumalon sa 60-story Orion Condominium sa New York City, nitong Linggo, Jan. 30 (New York time).
Ang huling mensaheng ipinost niya sa IG ay, “May this day bring you rest and peace.”
Narito ang bahagi ng official statement ng pamilya ni Cheslie tungkol sa kanyang pagpanaw, “In devastation and great sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Cheslie.
“Her great light was one that inspired others around the world with her beauty and strength. She cared, she loved, she laughed and she shined.
“Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether through her work as an attorney fighting for social justice, as Miss USA and as a host on Extra. But most importantly, as a daughter, sister, friend, mentor and colleague — we know her impact will live on.”

“I can’t believe the news. Rest in peace angel. The world will miss your light.
“If you or someone you know is considering suicide, please contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or go to suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
“Also, let’s reach out to friends and loved ones. These continue to be isolationg times, mental health is so important, let’s not downplay its importance in the lives of every individual,” ang caption ni Catriona sa Instagram photo nila ng kaibigan na ipinost niya ngayong araw.
Ito naman ang mensahe ni 2015 Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach, “So sorry, Cheslie.. you were so kind. Thank you. You’re an inspiration and loved by so many. Rest in peace, Cheslie.”
“The Miss Universe and Miss USA Organizations are devastated to learn about the loss of Miss USA 2019 Cheslie Kryst.
“She was one of the brightest, warmest, and most kind people we have ever had the privilege of knowing, and she lit up every room she entered.
“Our entire community mourns her loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
“If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts or are experiencing a mental health crisis, please seek help by calling the National Suicide Prevention hotline at 1 800-273-8255 or go to SuicidePreventionLifeLine.org.”
