“A very positive birthday. The birthday boy tested positive and is asymptomatic. So it is positive in both senses. (Which is much of life — good and bad at the same time),” ang bahagi ng caption ni Rica sa kanyang IG post.

Patuloy pa niya, “Why we tested is another story. All on the vlog this coming Sat. We came out negative except for our 8-year-old.

“We found it weird and realised maybe my headache and Joe’s passing sore throat was it which was not caught on test. Either way we just stayed together,” paglalahad pa ng celebrity mom.

Nabanggit din niya na, “isolated from the rest of the world but not from each other, celebrating over zoom with family from all over the world.”

“When I asked Philip what he’d feel if we can’t afford the gift he wants he said, ‘But my cousins and family are gifts, too, right?’

“Never forget that, Kid. No goal and gift so big can ever trump the value of people,” sabi ng aktres.

Dagdag pa niyang chika, “Not saying they cannot co-exist, Legos and Family both make you happy and they are fine together.

“But if it ever boils down to just one choice: CHOOSE LOVE. Love over Legos,” chika pa ng celebrity  vlogger.

Kung matatandaan, nahawa rin ng COVID-19 last year sina Rica at Joseph, “Ako ‘yung nauna. March 20, we had a shoot in the house dalawa silang kasama ko but I really didn’t know that I had anything. I was just exceptionally pawisin noong araw na yun. Pero kasi ang init din.

“Confused na confused ako. May sakit ba ako or pawisin ba ako? Prior to that, I kept sneezing also. It felt like we were having an allergy because even the kids were sneezing and ikaw,” pagtukoy ng aktres sa kanyang mister ni Joseph.

“Next day sabi ko sa kanya I kinda don’t feel well. Medyo flu-ish na yung feeling ko sa kama. I kinda suspected na rin kasi my symptoms are not going away. I just didn’t detect it right away because my symptoms were so mild and so common.

“It’s something that I always experience like some pain in the back, sipon or ubo. Normal na kapag napapagod ako, ito yung mga nangyayari sa akin. It didn’t really occur to me this time that I could be COVID,” kuwento pa niya.

It’s manageable healthwise in our house.”

Pero mas tumindi pa ang nararamdaman niya sa mga sumunod na araw, “9th, 10th, 11th day mo, doon ka puwedeng mag-develop ng more symptoms na medyo mas mahirap.”

Sinabihan siya na baka kailangan na niyang pumunta sa ospital pero, “I said that if this what God wants if this how God wants to heal me I will do it. I will keep praying.

“That kinda comforted me, that I didn’t need to go to the hospital. But of course, it started a thread of worries in my head. Whenever I would look at my kids, naiisip ko na, ano ba ito? Ito na ba yung mga story na naririnig mo na last time mo na sila makikita?” aniya pa.

Noong gumagaling na si Rica, ang kanyang asawa naman ang nagkaroon ng COVID-19 symptoms, “By the time I was healing yung asawa ko na yung nag-exhibit ng symptoms.”
