Job opportunity: Bandera naghahanap ng writer-editor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Writes at least eight (8) stories per day for Bandera based on information gathered from media coverage, statements, and others.
• Edits stories submitted by other writers and ensures the accuracy of the story and correctness of grammar.
• Co-hosts Showbiz Plus (video broadcast)
• Produces journalistic content in the form of stories, images and videos for the website.
• Monitors social media for important posts made by celebrities.
• Does news coverage as may be required.
• Observes the Journalist’s Code of Ethics.
• Performs other related tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• College Graduate, preferably major in Journalism or Communication Arts.
• At least 3-4 years’ experience in a related job.
• Excellent writing skills in Filipino
• Familiar with local and foreign showbiz personalities
• Nose for entertainment news
• Reportorial and editing skills
• Computer/tech and internet savvy
• High social media skills
• High attention to detail
