BINIGYAN ng exemption ng Quezon City government sa ipinatutupad na Enhanced Community Quarantine ang mga kompanya na magpapautang sa mga residente.
Pinirmahan ni Mayor Joy Belmonte ang Executive Order 29 upang matiyak umano na may mauutangan ang mga residente.
“Entities that are duly regulated by governmental authorities to offer loans and credit will be allowed to operate so they can provide assistance to our citizens in need,” ani Belmonte. ““We believe that this addresses a gap in the rules, which is sorely needed by our less fortunate residents, and we hope the national government feels the same way. The EO is pro-poor and gives the poor access to loans that they can’t avail from common banks.”
Bukod sa mga bangko, loans associations, money exchange/remittance companies, e-money issuers, payment system operators at pawnshops, bibigyan din ng Quezon City ng exemption ang mga magbubukas na kooperatiba.
“Isinama natin ang mga kooperatiba, MFIs (micro finance institutions) at iba pang lending institutions para mas madaling makautang ang sinuman na nawalan ng pagkakakitaan dahil sa ECQ dahil kaunti lang ang requirements kumpara sa mga bangko,” dagdag pa ng alkalde.
Pero dapat umano ay skeletal workforce lamang ang papasukin ng mga ito.
“The personnel are enjoined to follow the strict rules on social distancing, mass gathering, the wearing of face masks and to observe proper hygiene,” saad pa nito.
Dapat din umanong magdala ng valid ID ang mga empleyadong papapasukin ng mga lending institutions.
