P10K tulong sa OFW na apektado ng COVID-19

MAY matatanggap na P10,000 ang mga overseas Filipino workers na pinauwi ng kanilang mga employer dahil sa epekto ng coronavirus disease 2019.

Ayon sa Department of Labor ang one-time P10,000 financial assistance ay ibibigay sa regular o documented OFWs na mayroong pasaporte at visa o permit para makapagtrabaho sa ibang bansa at dumaan sa Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) o Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO).

Sinabi ni DOLE Sec. Silvestre Bello III na bibigyan din ng financial assistance ang mga OFW na regular o documented workers ng umalis sa Pilipinas subalit sa ilang kadahilanan ay nawala ang regular o documented status nito.

“Also included in the program are those who are not registered with the POEA or whose contracts were not processed by POEA or the POLO, but have undertaken actions to regularize their contracts or status; or who are not registered with the POEA or whose contracts were not processed by POEA or the POLO, but are active OWWA members at the time of availment,” ani Bello.

Ang mga Balik-Manggagawa na hindi na nakaalis ng bansa dahil sa lockdown sa ibang bansa dahil sa COVID-19 ay makatatanggap din ng tulong.

Ilalabas ng DOLE ang mga requirements na kailangang isumite ng isang OFW para makuha ang tulong pinansyal.
