MULI umanong malalagasan ng miyembro ang PDP-Laban ang partido ni Pangulong Duterte.
Ito ang pag-amin ni Surigao del Sur Rep. Johnny Pimentel, chairman ng Northern Mindanao, matapos na umalis ang apat na miyembro nito noong nakaraang linggo at lumipat sa National Unity Party.
“We will have a general assembly meeting on March 4 to be attended by Sen. Manny Pacquiao and Cong Lord Velasco,” ani Pimentel.
Si Pacquiao ang lider ng PDP-Laban sa Senado at si Velasco naman ang lider sa Kamara de Representantes.
“There are rumors going around that there are other 6 members who will join Lakas. My take on that this is a democratic country, every congressman has the prerogative to choose his own party—this is how Philippine politics work,” pag-amin ni Pimentel.
Sa kasalukuyan ay 63 ang miyembro ng PDP-Laban bumaba mula sa 85 matapos ang eleksyon noong Mayo.
Ang mga umaalis naman sa PDP ay lumilipat sa mga partido na kaalyado rin ng Pangulo.
