MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto hindi kasama sa magre-review ng Pepsi Paloma movie

NABANGGIT sa amin ng taga-Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) na nag-apply na raw ng application to review si Darryl Yap para sa kontrobersyal na pelikulang “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma.”
Sabi ng aming kausap, “I-sked pa kung kailan ang review kasi marami, eh.”
Tinanong namin kung posibleng isa si Chairperson Lala Sotto-Antonio, hepe ng MTRCB sa magre-review ng pelikula ni Direk Darryl.
“Parang hindi siya magrerebyu, mag-inhibit ata siya para fair,” sambit sa amin.
Well, for obvious reason na kaya mag-inhibit si Chair Lala ay sa dahilang pangalan ng tiyuhin niyang si Vic Sotto ang nakaladkad sa 26-second video teaser ng “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma” na ipinost ni Direk Darryl sa kanyang social media noong Enero 2.

Pero ngayon ay burado na ito dahil nanalo si Bossing Vic sa kaso na petition for writ of habeas data pero hindi naman niya pinahinto ang pagpapalabas ng pelikula at maging ang korte ay hindi rin pinigilan itong ipalabas sa mga sinehan kaya nagsabi si Direk Darryl na, “Next po ay magpa-review na sa MTRCB.”

Sakto naman na pagkatapos naming mag-usap ng taga-ahensiya ay may post si Direk Darryl kahapon sa Facebook account niya.
“Nagpasalamat na po ako sa husgado for protecting my rights of artistic expression and the public’s right to the truth.
“The teaser is just a micro-part of my movie. I have been allowed to release the whole movie.
“For that, I am deeply humbled and profoundly blessed. Our film is now being reviewed by MTRCB.

Anyway, curious pa rin kami kung sino ang producer ng “The Rapists of Pepsi Paloma” dahil base sa pag-iimbestiga namin ay wala talagang kinalaman ang mga Jalosjos na nakasamaan ng loob ng mga Sotto, pati na ang pamilya Discaya na makakalaban ni Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto sa darating na Eleksyon 2025.
At higit sa lahat, sino ang distributor ng pelikula ni Direk Darryl? Dahil balita namin ay maraming tumanggi.
