P10M halaga ng shabu, marijuana itinago sa mga laruan

NAKUMPISKA ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang tinatayang P10 milyong halaga ng shabu at marijuana na itinago sa loob mga lariang pambata sa warehouse ng FedEx sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ni BOC commissioner Isidro Lapeña na magkahiwalay na ipinadala ang dalawang shipment mula sa California, United States at dumating sa Maynila noong Marso 23 at Abril 18.

Idinagdag ni Lapeña na tumitimbang ang nakumpiskang droga ng 2.06 kilo ng shabu at 127.60 gramo ng marijuana

“Packages were consigned to a certain Savannah Valdez of General Trias, Cavite, and Emmer Soncruz Medina of Quezon City…” sabi ng BOC chief.

Sa hiwalay na ulat ng Radyo Inquirer 990 AM, sinabi nito na nakalagay ang mga iligal na droga sa loob ng lumang manyika at Lego.

“The packages yielded unbranded, colorless crystalline substance. Customs Anti-Illegal Drugs Task Force did the initial drug test which resulted positive for methamphetamine,” aniya.

Sinabi pa ni Lapeña na ibinigay na ang mga ito sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
