Naglabas ng hold departure order ang Sandiganbayan Fifth Division laban kay Sen. Joseph Victor Ejercito at limang iba pa kaugnay ng umano’y paggamit ng calamity fund sa pagbili ng mga baril.
Kasama sa nilabasan ng HDO ang mga dating miyembro ng Bids and Awards Committee ng San Juan na sina city administrator Ranulfo Dacalos, treasurer Rosalinda
Marasigan, city attorney Romualdo Delos Santos, city budget officer Lorenza Ching at city engineer Danilo Mercardo.
“This court, in exercise of its inherent power to use all means necessary to carry its orders into effect…orders the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration to hold departure from the Philippines of the above-named accused and to include the names of said accused on the Hold Departure List of said Bureau,” saad ng utos ng korte.
Ang HDO ay kaugnay ng kasong paglabag sa Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act na isinampa ng Ombudsman laban sa mga akusado.
Ayon sa Ombudsman ginamit ng mga akusado ang calamity fund ng city hall sa pagbili ng mga baril para sa San Juan Police na hindi pinapayagan ng Commission on Audit.
Bukod dito si Ejercito ay nahaharap din sa kasong Illegal Use of Fund.
